Our first EPL Game
Jan 2020 • Family
This was our first EPL game and we traveled from West Coast United States for it with our two preteen kids. We watched the West Ham FC v Leicester City FC game Dec 28, 2019. The fans were great. Passionate albeit frustrated with their team at times. (Manager was fired the next day). I sat in Section 134 row 19. Visibility was great. Food and beer options inside and outside the stadium. I just recommend DO NOT USE StubHub if you want tickets equivalent to what you paid for. We paid a premium to have 4 seats together long side lower tier. The receipt and online details showed just that, but the tickets uploaded by StubHub just before the game were split up 2 and 2 so we were not able to sit together as a family. We Called right away and although they apologized they were not able to correct it. When I go to an event (especially when paying a premium) I expect the sit with the people I’m going with. Hard to experience the fun and joy together when sitting a section away.

Took the child to a football game and it was good fun. Thankfully he is a west ham fan so i am chuffed it wasn't spurs or arsenal or xhelski.

The stadium is awe inspiring. Really interesting walk up from Stratford Station. Be aware that on match day they funnel the supporters so be pretty sure that you allow enough time.

Thanks

First time English soccer game, unbelievable atmosphere, great time with the West Ham supporters, what a brilliant bunch of guys. Would recommend visiting this stadium and joining in the fun with the “Irons”

Blocked view from standing supporters
Aug 2019
Went to the west ham v Norwich game with my family and everyone was standing in the trvor booking stand meant we saw hardly any of the match sitting down. The stewards are a waste of time, it seems many of them can't even speak english clearly. No one to complain too. The so called fans where disguting in their chants, I could't believe that they get away with it, the racist abuse was vile towards the away supporters.

Daughter absolutely loved being a little football hooligan, watching the game and being fortunate enough to tour the stadium and meet the players!

First football experience!
Jul 2019 • Friends
We walked to the stadium which was quite easy actually, well traveled foot paths, and it’s quite imposing on approach. Granted ,this is my first time in an arena watching English style football ,however ,I loved the set up ,the entire outside all the way around the stadium was set up with booths for beer and sandwiches and food and everyone was having a great time ,including us. Before we went to the food area we went into the store which was absolutely mobbed with people and we all bought gear to be West ham fans that day ,although there were thousands of people in the store ,the checkout line went very quickly. Once we arrived and went into the stadium we tried to go to our seats with drinks and were told we could not take them in so we were made to drink the drinks before we stepped up the stairs to go into the seating area. I was concerned about rowdy fans and possible fights ,there was absolutely not a single bit of ruckus anywhere that I could see and people were friendly and happy and I even sang the bubbles song at the end, West ham won by the way which maybe contributed to the happy atmosphere.

My third visit watching Arsenal play West Ham at the shopping centre. A truly depressing place, I feel sorry for the Irons fans having this as a home. Soulless bowl, miles from the pitch and access in and out hideous.

I loved visiting Upton Park, a real footballing experience with great fans close to the action. This is a complete contrast.

Football is dead , long live the corporate fans. I won’t be returning in a hurry.

Travelled down to watch West Ham play Birmingham at the cheap price of £15 which is a very good price to see West Ham play at the Olympic stadium overall good experience and ticked off another stadium of the 92, the prices for food and drink are quite expensive but at a big stadium and club it’s to be expected. Very good time. Would go again
