I saw this with my husband and daughters who both loved the book. Our expectations were enormous but we were still blown away. The changes from the book were so perfect to adapt to the stage. It was exquisite. Every moment was perfect

We booked tickets for the Saturday evening showing. It's in the Cambridge theatre, which is quite a small theatre that is starting to look a little tired. There was a good view of the stage from our seats in the dress circle. I'm not the tallest, but people with longer legs may struggle for leg room. It's in the West... More

I went to see this show today with my son who is 11 and my daughter who is 9. We all absolutely loved it from start to finish! Indeed my daughter let out a gasp followed by the words 'wow this is amazing!'. My son enjoyed it too though in his opinion wicked is a little better. Very glad we... More

From start to finish Matilda the musical was amazing. After reading some of the reviews on here I was so worried about going but I'm so glad we went now. My 8 year old daughter loved it, she followed the story easily and laughed most of the way through it. It's an absolute must for all ages.

I was visiting London and went to see Matilda. The first part of the show was decent. A cliché, nothing new. During the second halve, it became interesting! At the end, it was a trip to remember.

I took my 12 yr old daughter who knew the story already pretty well. I've not read the book or seen the film so was ready for a a surprise. We saw a very slick musical play which is perfectly cast, I can't fault any of the actors they played their parts funnily and superbly, especially the parents of Matilda... More

I visited with a school trip of Drama Sixth Formers. We all loved the show. Our seats were in the balcony £37.50 and were booked through a third party who had organised our weekend away. The little girl playing Matilda was amazing. Her vocal talents were unbelievable. The other child actors were clear and energetic throughout the entire performance. I... More

The set was great and so were the amazing kids. However Matilda was portrayed as an annoying, angry and cold character-totally unlike the original. There was a lot of shouting rather than singing. There is a whole extra story line which I really didn't like not to mention a weird ending with the Russian maffia which again was really random.... More
