What an excellent production, funny, tense, dramatic and a visually brilliant set. For any fans of Mr Dahl, this is a must see.

We were all adults & although we enjoyed many of the dance routines, the jokes were geared to children's humour - burps, pants, etc. Good if you are taking your young children, but not so funny for adults. Also the singing was often more like shouting. Sorry to be negative. We were probably the wrong age group to go. The... More

Matilda was one of the most popular books when I was a young boy, not to mention the widely popular movie, and so to be able to see it be turned into a musical, I was delighted to say the least! In my opinion it portrayed the story line perfectly with help from catchy songs and amazing actors! Perfect for... More

This show is incredible. The children are so talented, they left me in tears on numerous occasions. Tip - the theatre is really small so even the seats at the back are close to the stage. The boxes are at the back of the stalls so didn't look like a good option. Enjoy, we certainly did.

There isn't too much I can write here without giving spoilers! What I will say is that Matilda the musical was outstanding. I am in my 30's and went to see this with my husband and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend it. We paid £75pp and sat in the second row of the dress circle. I... More

Go and see this. Outstanding! Beautiful theatre (cambridge theatre). Easy to find in prime spot. Cast unbelievable but from a child I've always dreamt about Miss Trunchbull being brought to life and she was actually there in front of me. If you love the book see this it won't disappoint. Thank you for such a memorable experience for me and... More

Excellent show. We took our 6 yr old granddaughter and she was spell bound. Hummed songs for days after. Wouldn't think of taking children younger than 6 as it can be quite 'scary' in places. Not cheap - we chose seats in the stalls, mud way in the middle which was recommended - the cast run up and down the... More

Maybe it's because I've seen the movie a dozen times when I was young and read the book but it didn't do it for me. Songs were not memorable and story/script wasn't the best. Matilda only seems.to gain her powers about 75% the way in. However must say the cast were excellent and put their all in and the staging... More

This was a show I will not forget in a hurry. Absolutely awesome! The cast, the special effects l, the orchestra, the theatre staff. Everything was amazing! 😊 Visited with my three 4 year olds and an eight year old and they were all very impress and amazed. Highly recommended
