One of the best musicals I've ever been to see. I loved it and the kids loved it. Would highly recommend!

Having read the popular book, I was as excited as my niece and nephew about the musical. Having read rave reviews and the number of awards the show has won, my expectations were quite high. Verdict: the show exceeded my expectations to a large extent. The children were incredibly talented. The songs were fun and foot tapping. The choreography was... More

We saw the matinee last Saturday with my niece. The boy who played Bruce was absolutely fantastic and stood out amongst the rest. Matilda was also brilliant. I am fortunate I can afford to go to the theatre but I feel it's a shame the cost is very high and will stop a lot of people attending these sort of... More

Matilda leaves you with such a great feel-good feeling. The children featured are insanely talented and make the show what it is. The songs are incredible and I guarantee you will laugh all the way through this. As many amazing Musicals usually do, Matilda does tug on your heart strings a little so remember your tissues! The story remains faithful... More

What a brilliant show! I was brought along by family (for mums birthday) with a sceptical view of 'oh a musical...great'! However I am so so so glad I was invited Everything from the set, to the script, to the performers (my favourite was definitely Ms Trunchbull....my hat and appreciation goes to the performer!!!) The lighting, the ushers and even... More

The props were fantastic...creative and effective. Choreography was clever and music up-beat. This show kept 3, 50 somethings entertained. Voices were suberb...the only criticism was that some of the diction of the children was hard to understand...they spoke very quickly and with high pitched voices it was hard to catch it all.

A thoroughly enjoyable show from start all the way to the finish. Beautiful set up, great songs and just so much fun to watch! Fantastic energy from the performers who played all the characters so well (especially the incredibly talented kids). This is by far my favourite musical so far. Thank you for bringing one of my most loved childhood... More

One of the best musicals I've seen. An adapted storyline, mixed with brilliant visuals and incredible cast. Brings Dahl to life!!

If you aren't British, you may find it very difficult to understand the words to the songs. After the first act, I looked up lyrics on-line and that made the 2nd half more enjoyable. But truly, I wish I had seen an American production. Additionally it us very loud and there are a lot of bright lights shining directly into... More

This is my first time catching Matilda. The cast were fantastic and highly energetic. However, I am not sure if this is intentional, but i felt the main lead's lack of expression and rather stiff movements pale in comparison to the rest of the cast. Nevertheless, the musical in its entirety was good and funny, and i felt the actor... More
