Visited with my boyfriend and mum. The place and stuff are the loveliest and calmest in the world. You really feel like in a sanctuary. No rush.

Installations are premium and we felt extra personalized when Chris came to chat with us after the float. We have a very shy experience with this brand in Vauxhall branch and this is the same quality but just closer.

For people not into meditation or psychic adventures I would recommend to do a little research of what you can expect, it's all very well explained by the welcoming team but if you are looking for another kind of experience more a "social" spa this might be not the best choice for you but I would still give a try as all the people that visited with me, beinf first timers and also countin with a bit of a barrier language discovered another layer into themselves and appreciated the whole thing very much.

Looking forward to upgrade to a membership once lockdown is lifted ;)

Vauxhall Branch 👌🏽
I suffer from claustrophobia so I was very anxious about closing myself in the pod.
I asked whether is was okay to keep it open but was advised that I will not experience the sensational benefits of the atmosphere, sound, lights and temperature. If I can do it you can.
It was amazing! I totally relaxed and it felt as if i was having an out of body experience. The floating makes you feel like you are rotating slightly whilst you are still. It’s really a nice feeling.
I drifted off the sleep and it felt like high heaven. I was woken by music which indicated that my time was up. Wish I could have stayed longer. Staff were absolutely lovely and so friendly. Great experience from start to finish!! Thank you floatworks. Highly recommend!!

The staff are super helpful and friendly, they are always very welcoming and there is such a lovely calm atmosphere from the minute you arrive.

I had my first float back in January 2020 and have been sad to miss out during the various lockdowns. Now that it’s back open I’m getting back into heading there to switch off, rest and relax.

Knowing that you have a precious 60 mins to yourself away from all distractions is wonderful.

I leave feeling both relaxed and energised.

Love floating - love floatworks.

Thought I’d give floatworks a go, while undertaking other well-being sessions, following a pretty bad time after my dads passing and a car accident. Figured this could be both the mental and physical rehab necessary, so gave it a try.

The first session in Vauxhall was great, it was a morning session and therefore not busy so nice and quiet, I went into some kind of meditation I hadn’t felt or experienced before and felt very chilled out after. The girl on that day was also super friendly and nice and left the tank on a bit longer due as it took me a while to shower etc in my slightly less than awake state! Who knows though, I was a little hungover, so maybe it was just last nights session still in my system…. as I didn’t feel like that the second time. Tea selection and books are also fab.

Second time I went after work and it was noisy, you can hear people walking above you quite heavy footed. Therefore I couldn’t relax or switch off, as all I could hear was what I presume staff running about cleaning. Therefore I would not recommend an evening float.

Finally, make sure you check the 3 month expiration period when you buy a pack of floats. You wouldn’t think the expiration period was so short for an item like this. It’s not a gym membership or personal training session that you’d typically use weekly. You don’t always go to floats frequently as you have to be in the right headspace to fully reap the benefits.

I was a few weeks out and just got a blanket no, and no reply to my email saying it was a shame as I was only a few weeks over the expiry date. Some flex on this could have been seen as good customer service, or at least a reduced rate. Alas money prevails. A shame, as I wanted to see if it really does give meditative benefits by trying a third time. But frankly, I refuse to fork out more, for such little flex.

Had a phenomenal time at my Float. I wasn't sure what to expect with the experience. A friend of mine recommended it. When I arrived I was greeted well, staff were friendly, relaxed and knowledgeable. I was taken to my own room and shown around. It was a good sized space with a shower, it was well heated and cosy. It came with all the necessary equipment, including a mouldable ear piece set and a cream for cuts. I felt at ease, excited and fascinated by the giant pod. Climbing into it I felt like I was in a Sci-fi movie. I do recommend to use the cream on any cuts if you are aware of any. I wasn't aware of few of mine on my back and it stang for a bit as I was too lazy to climb back out. The music was soothing and I loved the start of the experience. I should have taken the recommendation of the halo ring. It is a must! it keeps the head slightly tilted and helps the sweat run down your face rather than pooling in your tear duct. Since the water is extremely salty it just burns. At first I was going to monk through it by accepting the pain but since I was only 10 minutes in I thought laying like this for another 40 minutes might not be a smart idea. Once I settled down my body went so relaxed I wasn't sure where I was. After the chatter subsided I felt a moment of intense meditation which startled my brain a bit which questioned what just happened. The music came back on shortly and I was chilled out and relaxed. I hesitantly climbed out from my warm nest and had a hot shower. After the session I went into the meditation/relaxation room and just carried on enjoying the state of peace. I had a cup of tea at the tea station and read a book to finalise the experience. Overall I really enjoyed it and look forward to doing more sessions there! Thanks to the team!

I LOVE Floatworks! It is one of my favourite ways to recharge, connect with myself and feel restored. I bought the first session as a birthday gift for my boyfriend, and sharing the experience of how it went gave us a great moment of connection. Since then, I have kept going and I have gifted it to many friends, as I think everyone should try it once!

Some of the realisations I had during my sessions have helped me not only to feel better and understand important life lessons, but also to grow my business.

The staff in Old Street (the only place I have been so fa) is always warm and welcoming, finding the right balance between giving me my space and making me feel at home.
And I love that there is all I need to get back to work afterwards (hairdryer, straightener and so on!). Extremely recommended! Keep it up!

Booked for me and a friend as a birthday treat to her and we loved it. Super relaxing and soothing - something I'd definitely recommend trying for yourself. The pods open manually so no need to fear getting stuck inside, and if claustrophobic, you can leave the lid open if you'd like to. The staff were great (I visited the Angel branch) and explained everything brilliantly. Also, the facilities to shower, moisturise, dry your hair, etc. were fab too. Didn't need to bring anything along!

I love floating. It’s the one time when nothing in my old body hurts! It’s brilliant.

Usually I have an hour of nothingness, a peaceful time which is mine alone. But my last float was an exception. For no fault of Floatworks, I simply could not relax. My muscles would twitch and I felt like I was sinking. I kept trying to get centred and relaxed but to no avail. After about half an hour I got out.

My only explanation is that I was floating first thing in the morning, when my brain and body were ready for action. Normally I float mid- to late afternoon, when relaxation is welcome.

I’ll certainly return and try again, just not in the morning!

Having previously floated in Jan at the Angel site, I thought I’d try Vauxhall. I wasn’t disappointed, I came with my son and friend as they were curious to experience floating too.

Great venue, staff were welcoming and informative. We all had a wonderful float and left feeling super relaxed.

Floatworks (Angel) is an oasis of calm in the middle of Islington. The staff are friendly, the place is clean and modern. The float room is spacious and the shower modern and efficient. The float pod is large enough to float without feeling too enclosed. The water's just the right temperature and I drift off into semi-consciousness and come out relaxed and calmed.
