I found this memorial to be more interesting than the palace. The craftsmanship is amazing and the shininess of the top sculpture is impressive. The surrounding fountain area is a great place to just sit and absorb the atmosphere.

We waited a long time to get this great photo.... lots of people here as it's right in front of Buckingham Palace. Had the perfect weather and view so it was worth the wait. Fun visit.
