Where do I begin? For starters, I have been a member of this club off and on for the last four years. The facilities are great. The cardio machines could be better but generally speaking, the gym is state of the art. It is never crowded and the pool is wonderful.

The downside? Service - as in, there is none of it. Once you have been sold the membership, you're on your own. For a TINY club, you would expect a more personalised approach. The staff almost go out of their way to ignore you. Strange. Anyhow, this is how the club has (and most likely always will,) work. John (front of house for everything,) is lovely and the Italian manager seems like he has a good business head on his shoulders, it just baffles me why more emphasis on customer care has never been a major issue for the club. True, it can 'afford' to be aloof but politeness (as your mum must have told you,) is free. It doesn't cost anything to smile or greet people with a friendly 'hello.'

Antara Spa is not luxurious or large. It can be best described and personable and modern. The highlight of the experience at Antara was the staff. Without a doubt the most professional and warmest Spa staff I have interacted with. The quality of the message was excellent. What lets the Antara Spa experience down is the Chelsea Health Club facilities including the restaurant and changing room area which are both large but outdated.

I would definitely recommend the full body massage. The girls are very good at what they do. My boyfriend and I had a 2 hour session which included a foot exfoliation, private steam room, body scrub and wash and full body massage. We then enjoyed several hours in the pool and jacuzzi. It was part of our package to have lunch at the spa too however it did taste like microwaved ready meal. That was the only downside.

Women's changing room has everything you need, secure lockers, hair dryers in abundance, showers, cubicles, toilets, sauna, mini pool, steam room, dressers, ironing boards. I was really impressed. Not a busy spa for a Saturday afternoon. I can imagine it being much less relaxing with any more than 5 people in the pool area at a time. We were fortunate there wasn't.

I had a Groupon voucher for Chelsea Club Antara Spa - and was thoroughly appalled by the customer service that I received. The voucher consisted of treatments and a lunch. My lunch was cancelled at the last minute. Antara Spa breached Groupon's fine print. As it was for my anniversary I decided to go ahead with the treatments.

Flomeny the manager refused to return my calls despite calling more than 4 times. We had an email dialogue and on 3 separate occasions she called me by a totally wrong name despite me correcting her each time. Simple bad manners.

Furthermore, she then went ahead and cancelled my treatments (which I had booked for my anniversary as a surprise) for my husband and I at the last minute. I had to call Groupon three times on one day -they went through to head office and it was confirmed that my bookings had not been cancelled. However, Flomeny had taken the liberty to cancel my treatments despite the fact that she had asked me to confirm that I would still be attending!

Flomeny, refused to give me the complaints procedure or the details of her line manager so I could liaise with them. All in all a shocking service. The booking had been made months in advance and no where in the small print did it state that Antara Spa and Flomeny could cancel at their convenience at the last minute. For 150 pounds I would have expected much better service.

Echo comments of a previous customer - the spa just rings out and I had to go through the main reception to get a slot booked. The manager over the phone was very helpful none the less.
I only realised after booking that my red letter day anniversary present had expired by just over a week and they refused to honour it - which is very disappointing given the timeframe the expiry was out by.
Wouldn't recommend this spa on the basis that they don't even want your custom even before you have arrived!

I had a living social deal here. We had a body scrub, massage and facial each, we each had different therapists and both came out raving about they fact that they were probably the best treatments we have ever had (and we try to have spa days fairly regularly)!! The staff in the spa itself were lovely, couldn't do enough to help and extremely professional. We went on a Saturday and there was hardly anyone else there. We spent most of the day there and for the majority of the time had the pool, sauna, steam rooms and jacuzzi to ourselves or with one or two others. Really spacious and well maintained facilities, everything you could need was there for you. Sauna and steam rooms are separate for males and females so probably not great if you are there as a couple but great for a girlie day out. The lunch was fantastic, we had the ginger salmon and a smoothie each.

The only slight drawback was that the reception staff at the club itself weren't the best. When we arrived we were given our robes and pointed in the general direction of the changing rooms and spa. Spent a bit of time trying to figure out exactly where things were and where we were supposed to go but as soon as we found the spa staff they talked us though what we could do and where to get lunch etc so after the first 5 mins our day was perfect!! Would definitely go again!!

So I have not personally visited the spa on account of their staff and inability to book in. I was given Spa vouchers and this may or may not have had something to do with the treatment I received. When calling through to main reception Max was helpful however the Spa staff failed to call me back on more than one occasion. When I spoke to someone at Spabreaks the informed me only a morning appointment was available. However after speaking to Max it appears they had some afternoon availability.
Based on my experience I would not go to this spa or recommend it. I was able to book a Mayfair based spa in a matter of minutes. And guess what the staff conducted themselves in a way that made you feel welcome to enjoy the facilities.

Had a great spa day today. Warmest of welcomes from the outset. Went with the girls and we loved the group body scrub and steam room to start our treatments. Then blissful facial, great massage from Ilyana (so sorry I have misremembered your name!). Nice healthy lunch to finish off, though we could have stayed by the pool/sauna/steam rooms for the afternoon too if desired.

I booked the Antara Spa in Chelsea as a surprise birthday present for a group of 5. From the enquiring stages all the way through to the end of our spa day, the service provided was phenomenal. My friends had an amazing time, the spa facilities (sauna, pool, jaccuzi, changing rooms, showers, plunge pool, steam room, hairdryers/straighteners) were so beautiful and clean, and the staff were so friendly. The deep tissue treatment was probably the firmest I’ve ever had and I’ve been to a lot of spas! We had the most relaxing day and just the level of service that we received made the day even more perfect. I’ve alrady booked my next spa day with them again. I would definitely reccoemnd the Antara Spa!
