Neighborhood: Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.

Best experience
Sep 2019 • Couples
Took my boyfriend for his birthday for a couples treatment to Oxford street and it was the best decision I’ve made.

Yes, it is pricier than your average spa but it is genuinely worth every penny. Brilliant stag and treatments which made the day so special and memorable.

Kings Road Spa

Lush in the Kings Road is awesome. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had the treatment called the “comforter” which consists of a chocolate body scrub followed by cleanse and Rose hip massage. Truly amazing.

The Good Hour - Bizarre
Apr 2017 • Solo
I know it sounds very curmudgeonly to complain about a massage, but I have to say this was the most bizarre massage experience I've ever had. The "theme" of The Good Hour massage is a nautical one, and so there are elements to make it fit: the massage room is meant to seem like a ship’s cabin, when you enter there is the sound of soft waves, there is “sea mist” rolling from beneath the massage table, and the music during the massage is a “special” mix of sea shanties. The masseuse described the massage as an experience where I am meant to image I’m a ship and she’s re-rigging my sails. What.
The overall effect was rather cheesy, but I wasn’t too put off, expecting that once we got started most of this wouldn’t matter too much. Little did I expect the soundtrack. I had thought that when they said a “specially recorded” set of sea shanties that it probably meant they’d set them to soothing music. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
While the music begins with soft waves lapping and the sound of a creaking ship it quickly moves into quite vigorous, loud, vocal sea shanties. These include but are not limited to people singing songs with lines such as, “hey ho blow the man down,” “we'll heave and hang together, away, haul away, we'll haul away Joe,” and “we’re going fishing for a whale” (whales aren’t really the mental image you want while lying almost naked on a table). A truly bizarre choice of soundtrack for what I had thought was meant to be a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. I found the only time I was really able to start relaxing was between tracks or when the music went momentarily instrumental.
The effect was made worse by the fact that for these boisterous songs, the masseuse was matching her actions to the sound of the music.
Although objectively, the masseuse was very skilled, I found it utterly impossible to relax, instead wondering what on earth might come next and hoping we could avoid “what shall we do with a drunken sailor” and “fifteen men on a dead man’s chest.”
I appreciated the tea and biscuits afterward, but I would never get this massage again. For the same price or less I could get a non-cheesy massage that actually relaxed me and worked on tense areas without all the faff of “sea mist” and someone “re-rigging my sails.”

Girls day out!
Mar 2016 • Friends
We visited here on a girls weekend after a trip to the theatre the previous night, what a pleasant day we had at the Lush Spa! I've had several experiences at the Lush Spa in serveral of their locations. Each one offers unique staff and atmosphere. I urge you to visit. Which ever treatment you have I can guarentee you will leave after feeling so refreshed and peaceful, the staff are truely amazing and some of the most freindly people you could meet. Their training is extensive and nothing is too much trouble. If you like spas but fancy something different, go to this area for the day and book yourself into a beautiful handmade treatment.

Absurdly noisy
Apr 2016 • Solo
I love lush. The brand, the products, the ethics. So my girlfreind treated me to the comforter massage. The massage would have been delightful - but. My mind was elsewhere, attempting to visualise what on Earth was happening above us. World war three? An endless herd of cattle? A coach load of children let loose with balls and scooters? Throughout the entirety of the massage, the low plasterboard ceilings, squeaky joists and hard floors above reverberated to every all too frequent movement above us. I lay still, and didn't comment, not wanting to ruin what little relaxation I had achieved thus far, what could she do about it?

This happened a while ago and the absurdity of the experience has stayed with me, hence my desire to leave this comment.

Just to note. I am the type of person who wears earplugs at night and can't stand rustling sweet packets in cinemas, so the subject of my complaint may not be relevant to all. The staff were lovely and Lush still benefit from my desire for sweet smelling face washes, but seriously a massage room underneath a shop floor with no sound insulation is twisted logic.

Excellent surprise treat for Wife
Dec 2016 • Solo
Arranged for wife to go here for her Birthday for the Validation Facial.

She says that it was unlike all other spas as it was so bespoke and relaxing.

The treatment led her to selecting various products which she liked, as well as recommendations, depending on the mood she wanted to experience. She has highly recommended it.

We were so relaxed afterwards we could hardly hold the pen to write comments in the visitor book!
Dec 2016 • Family
My daughter and I booked our treatments to celebrate her 18th Birthday - she chose the Comforter and I had the Spell.

We arrived at the Oxford Street shop on a busy December Friday Afternoon and were delighted to be greeted in airport style, by a member of staff holding chalkboards with our names and appointments - this made us feel very welcome.
As we were walked through the shop to the Spa, other members of staff wished us a good time and told us we would really enjoy it. The excitement was building!

Once we had paid, we had a little wait, even though we had been told to arrive early, but the wait was worth it - much setting up was required....for the Spell anyway!

We were so relaxed afterwards we could hardly hold the pen to write comments in the visitor book. Our therapists were very attentive and kind - especially when I got a bit emotional after my treatment! The experience treats all the senses, body and mind....just delightful.

We enjoyed wandering round the shop to extend our lovely time and build up our strength to go back out onto Oxford Street.

We've bought a gift card for my son too, so he can share the wonder!

Incredible experience!
Dec 2015 • Friends
Anyone who knows me well, knows that I am a huge Lush fan. I especially love their bath bombs and bubble bars.
Anyway, I treated my best friend to 'The Comforter?' treatment (part of her hen do surprise) at the Lush Spa on Oxford Street... What an experience!

First off let me tell you how beautiful the interior was, it had a cottage home feel to it and everything looked Instagram-able.

Now, as soon as we entered our treatment room, an enchanting and dreamy soundtrack was playing with covers from Willy Wonka, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and so on. And then the treatment began... We had an indulgent relaxing hot chocolate full body scrub and rose-scented massage whilst being tucked up in a warm and cosy duvet for 80 minutes... It was AMAZING!

To finish off the treatment, we we're surprised with candy floss non-alcoholic cocktails and goody bags! In our goody bags we got the 'Sex Bomb' bath bomb and a 'Tender is the Night' massage bar each, which was really really sweet of them. And then of course, I couldn't resist leaving the store without buying a few things...

I do want to go back to the Oxford St store and buy lots more. Anyway, amazing, out-standing, perfect experience, would highly recommend Lush Spa treatments to anyone! They are truly one of a kind!
