I attended two two hour classes in one day, "The Perfect Chicken Curry" and "Indian Dinner Party", which perfectly complemented each other. Angela teaches how to balance taste, which is invaluable for any cook and any cuisine, as well as offering a practical cookery class. She is an engaging and talented teacher as well as highly considerate. She made me restart my masala paste at the beginning when I oversalted it and just smiled when I added too much tamarind at the end, because she new I could do nothing about it. She also spent a good ten minutes helping me find my mobile phone. Her classes are as useful to an experienced curry cook as they are to a beginner. Great fun and hard work, but I have learned that it is important to go home and cook the meal again, or you forget the lessons that you have learned.

Highly, highly recommended to any enthusiastic amateur of any age.

Present from son and daughter in law......not at all sure what to expect. Charming welcome.....introductions and coffee before starting. Straightforward teaching by enthusiastic Angela. Great recipes. We learnt how to do own sauces and executed two different dishes in groups of two. A great afternoon and the recipes have been used many times at home now with successful outcome. Highly recommended for groups of friends, families with teenagers etc!

As part of a hen-do, we attended a Vietnamese street food class. We ranged from 20-50 years old and all had very varied cooking skills - I am not that confident in the kitchen but Angela made sure it was stress-free, fun and suitable for everyone. And most importantly the food was amazing, I will never buy Spicy Pork Lettuce Wraps or Tumeric Chicken Skewers in a restaurant again. I've cooked it numerous times since for dinner parties and people LOVE IT! Angela is very knowledgeable, incredibly helpful and gives great tips, not only for cooking but buying the right ingredients. Thoroughly enjoyed the class and would 100% recommend this to anyone. Thanks Angela!

I took my daughter for the Sunday afternoon Vietnamese dinner party course. The food we cooked was tasty; but the course is best described by its omissions. Geoff our teacher spent 20 minutes of the 2 l/2 hour session telling us about his career path (mostly irrelevant). He then asked us to say what we did for a living. (intrusive) but did NOT ask how much experience people had had. After 20 minutes talking about different flavours (interesting) We were given three recipes and told to get on with it. NO DEMONSTRATIONS. I would have liked a bit of information about the use of the WOK and and explanation about , for example, dry roasting of spices; chopping, crushing or slicing of garlic. Clearly many of the attendees had not done much cooking (if any at all). They sliced things in weird ways, looked stressed or dazed, and most people burnt the chopped garlic in the wok. The kitchen filled with acrid smoke, everyone was coughing and rubbing their eyes. I had to go into the road to clear my head. Some advice would have avoided this. We could have stayed at home and muddled through with the recipes in the same way. What a disappointment.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Thai Masterclass this weekend.

Was initially concerned how we would spend 6 hours in the kitchen but we covered and cooked so much the time flew by.

Angela and her staff were amazing and we learnt to cook a variety of popular recipes and more importantly gain insight into what's happening with the "5 taste sensations".

Dare I say the food we cooked ourselves was better than our favourite (very good!) Thai restaurant.

Angela was able to tailor the recipes to suit all tastes and allergies.

Highly recommended!

It has taken me a couple of weeks to complete this but only because I have been so busy, but just wanted to thank Angela, Claudia and the team for an excellent evening of cooking wonder!
Working for a car manufacturer and having attended a few team building activities I wanted our team to do something a little different, so 12 of us attended Angela's cooking school for an evening of absolute wonder! We were put into teams to create a little gentle competition and got to work listening to Angela's stories of food and how to create the perfect dish. Everyone was so attentive gaining and losing team points if we weren't up to scratch. We learnt so many new things, made and tasted our creations and really had an amazing evening...so much so that they all want to go back to try something different. This is a great team evening and I would recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone looking to do something that little bit different.

I did a two hour Saturday afternoon course on Indian cooking.
It was fantastic fun and very informative, I really would recommend it to anybody. I did the course with my brother but it would be a great course to do with a partner or a friend.

After a long day at work, all were a little weary. Angela & her team soon re-energised, educated and miraculously managed to get all of us to produce some delicious fare. Brilliant team bonding.

My sister and I love Dim Sum and have tried to cook it before and failed dismally so I treated my sister to this as a special birthday present and we both went. We had a fabulous afternoon - the kitchen was small but well organised and well prepared. Angela kept a pacey and interesting patter going throughout the afternoon and was always on hand if you got stuck!

We learnt a lot about the 5 key flavours which helped our overall approach to cooking and helped us understand where we were going wrong previously ! We made prawn wontons to go in a prepared chicken broth which we completed - then we ate ! Delicious ! Then we made pork and waterchestnut steamed dumplings and then ate them (my favourite !) then we made pot stickers which were quite tricky with a frying and then poaching technique but I would def make them again, as I would the other 2. It was a friendly atmosphere - you could have drinks throughout and were encouraged to taste and apply the knowledge. There was a good selection of ingredients you could buy and the best selection of yummy cakes to buy that I have seen in a long time ! The lemon drizzle was delicious but a little pricey for the size !

I would def recommend it and would def try another course even though I had to travel from Oxford.

It makes a great present and because of the atmosphere I wouldn't mind going on my own or with a friend.

My partner, Richard and I attended the Thai Green class for my birthday and had a great time. In the last two weeks we have changed our shopping habits, knowing what brands to look for in our local Chinese supermarket and remade a Thai Green curry or two. Picked up some handy hints and Angela was a great host!
