Drive past by the Ascot Race Course on way to Stonehenge. In the past this is where the royals did their horse practice and racing. Saw the War House monument.

Saw this a few years back and it was just brilliant. Hard to explain as “puppetry” sounds juvenile but it isn’t. Brilliant story. Just go see.

Honestly one of the best productions i've ever seen. Every emotion is brought to life and to the audience through the story the actors tell.
I had the same appreciation of the puppeteers in the lion king.
If you have a ticket for War Horse you will enjoy this. If you dont, buy one you wont regret it

Can't say that I was in love with the theatre as it still looks like it's not finished wood and curtains everywhere and the seat are directly behind each other so if you have a larger person in front of you all you do is move from side to side the whole performance but that being said I can't fault the show itself I thought it was fantastic the puppetry was totally amazing and so we're the actors it was well worth going to see just don't look at your surroundings.

After many years of wanting to see War Horse, finally got round to doing so at the Wembley Park Theatre last night. Without a doubt one of the best productions I’ve been to in a long time – absolutely incredibly acting and props, you totally forget you’re watching a puppet most of the time!

The theatre is a great little spot with minimal queues for the bar and loos, great interval drinks service. Would highly recommend this show to people - simply incredible - particularly with such reasonable ticket prices compared to the West End (I paid around £20 iirc).

We saw this in Oxford & were really disappointed as several friends had raved about the show (different productions).

The young horses just looked as though made by 5 year olds.

The lead actor was awful, just over-acting & amateurish.

The birds on sticks were also very poor & the so-called comical bird just stupid & unnecessary it was trying to be a serious play.

Theatre (New Theatre) was OK.

My kids are not into horses but took them to watch the show anyway, as I like horses. The story was so moving, my kids were crying during the show! It's an unmissable experience.

This was a faultless performance receiving a justfiable standing ovation at the end. We saw it at the lovely Victoria Theatre in Hanley, Stoke on Trent - a delightful theatre and well worth the visit. The only problem we had was that some of the actors were unable to project their voices and even though we were sitting Centre Stage approx 12 rows back in the stalls we missed some of the dialog. However, it did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the evening. We would definitely go again if it tours to the Midlands.

Saw the touring production in Dublin. Absolutely stunning but very emotionally gruelling as befits the subject matter. If you are considering bringing a child please think very carefully. My very calm and unemotional 11 year old fan of the book loved it but was quite shaken. I was very glad we had left her sensitive 10 year old sister at home- she would have lasted 5 minutes.

I went to see war horse last night in Dublin, the horses were amazing and the story wasn't bad but the whole show was ruined by the main actor Albert. He was SO BAD! over acting ever movement,I couldn't enjoy the show at all. You could clearly see the other actor trying not to laugh at how bad he was. I was very disappointed ☹️
