About Jewish London Walking Tours
Join me, Stephen Burstin, for a fascinating experience that delights both Jewish and non-Jewish visitors to London as well as locals. Click on the word More (above) and then click on the word Website in the drop down to see the highlights of my various tours, each one informative and entertaining for all ages, from three different Old Jewish Quarter tours in London's famous East End which reveal the enthralling story of the Jewish community to my exciting tour called London's Famous Attractions ...with amazing Jewish connections! And this tour includes Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Houses of Parliament etc. There's also fabulous Hampton Court Palace and Windsor Castle, both with amazing Jewish connections too! As a tour guide for 25 years, I delight in sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for London, especially its Jewish heritage. I also tailor-make tours to include addresses of sites and stories for clients with family connections in London's East End from the 'good old days'.

We spent a wonderful day with Stephen touring the City and the old East End. His passion for the city and its Jewish heritage is infectious and the tour was by turns poignant, informative and entertaining. Stephen is a knowledgeable and witty guide who has developed a very well-planned tour which takes in many dozens of sites of tremendous interest, supplemented by his own collection of pictures. If you're interested in Jewish history, or the history of London, or just history in general, I cannot recommend this tour highly enough.

This is a very late and very overdue review, but this tour is as fresh in my mind as though it happened just yesterday. I was with my husband and son. The gentleman who gave us a tour was a walking encyclopedia. A man knowledgeable of so much of what happened in the past, and still what goes on in the present. The synagogue we visited along with the stories he had to tell of it reduced me to tears. We had the opportunity to learn of Little bits of Jewish history strewn all over London that the average person wouldn’t be able to see otherwise. It was truly remarkable. What a kind man our guide was, taking his time, answering all our questions. I was so impressed by his own extensive research and documentation I’m. It was a beautiful tour, and a necessary one for Jewish people and others to experience. I shan’t ever forget it.

As Londoners we were both amazed at what we didn't know about FITZROVIA , where it started and finished and where some of the important schools and synagogues were. Discovered how the Montague's and Rothschild's helped build the foundations of todays British Jewish heritage.....all in all a very worthwhile tour led by a friendly well informed guide.

Stephen is a delight. Extremely knowledgable, fun, not just a guide but a teacher AND a performer. Knows his stuff inside out and backwards. The tour provides an eye-opening view of the history of Jews in London, often bittersweet but always fascinating. From the Jews' arrival in the late 1600s through Jack the Ripper, from the Holocaust to modern times, this is not to be missed.

Stephen is extremely knowledgeable and it was a great way to explore London. His tour takes you throughout the city as he shares his knowledge of the country's Jewish history. The weather was awful, yet we still had a great time and with his sense of humor, candor, and knowledge, it was one of the highlights of our trip. This is an amazing way to see London, and is a must-do!
