We arrived just after 1200 on a Saturday, it had been arranged as a meeting point before we went on to another venue as a group, so we arrived at different times and it was a perfect place for just the 2 of us at the start up until there was 12 of us. Spent about 1.5 hours here and enjoyed the quiet but welcoming atmosphere. Staff were friendly and said it was early so wouldn’t be too busy which was perfect for us to have a few drinks and catch up. Nice choice of local and craft beers.

All cask beers off, Staff said they didn’t have time to change barrels. Yet only seven people in bar.

It's great to finally be able to share an experience on Trip Advisor regarding a new "beer-based" destination. I had high hopes when I got the tip off about this place and I can honestly say that I haven't been this impressed with a pub for quite some time. Sorry for the long review, but it's worth reviewing great stuff properly.

LOCATION

I was told about the pub from a few different sources. Everything I heard was good, but you never know. The owner also set up and currently runs the successful "Cask Pub and Kitchen", so an experienced publican was involved here. My first impression was that the location (just off Hatton Garden) was good for the market business and the mass off nearby shops. During my afternoon it slowly became packed out, which is a great sign for a relatively new pub. No one was rowdy during my stay and it attracted a lot of beer-enthuisiasts and locals.

DECOR

The decor is sensitive, keeping aspects of the old pub (The Clockhouse) such as the glass mirrors on the ceiling. The new furniture isn't too modern looking but creates a calm and homely feel. There is loads of seating over the whole pub.

DRINKS

The most important bit. Well, the reason you need to come here is the quantity and quality of the beers. To start with, this pub has 16 Real Ale hand pumps. If you're not sure what this means, it's because this is a rare; if not an unheard of occurrence. Real Ale has a short shelf life, so selling 16 casks at a time is not only wonderful for the beer community, but a genuinely great achievement. As an Ale drinker, I think these guys need a medal. They source from the breweries themselves and therefore have a huge selection.

Secondly, the selection of bottled beers leaves me in awe.I think they have over 300, with some being seriously rare and expensive. You'll need to go there and check the beer menu yourself for names. They have some cheeky spirits as well, including some Sipsmith Gins and several malt whiskys.

As an aside, they also sell some very popular cold pies. I find these usually collect dust on the bar, but they were selling very well. It's good to know.

OVERALL

I can't express enough how much of an attraction this place is. Go there and see for yourself how these guys run this pub. All the staff were helpful and happy to chat beer / drink beer with you. When you go, make sure you try a few half pints of several beers to get a real feel for the diversity of beer that Craft Beer Co. embraces. I tried loads from breweries that I'd never encountered and i've been hooked to real ale for ages.

Just don't do what one guy did and walked in to ask "Do you sell Strongbow...". I laughed.

See above - this isn't a club or a gig venue, and it's beer isn't that special. It's a fairly ordinary bar in central London. Never been over-charged like this before. Not going back. Plus the barman acted like he was on drugs.

After a lunch meal my work colleagues and I fancied a drink..normally we don't let the boss pick but on this occasion we did.
Man was I impressed I don't even drink beer but the whole experience here is great..the bar staff really know their stuff and the passion comes through. Their ciders were great and they also have spirits. A brilliant atmosphere and a cool place.

Me and my partner stopped off here for a pint before dinner, and it's pretty much exactly what you expect from a good craft beer place; interesting decor, knowledgeable staff and a *ton* of choice.

The refined nature of the beer means it is on the pricier side, even for London, so prepare to pay around £6 for some of the beers (or above that if you're aiming strong!).

But with the chilled atmosphere and ridiculous selection on offer, it's easy to see why this is rated so highly.

We visited here because we had read about the wide range of beers available. It was extremely hot outside. We tried a couple of the real ales on offer but they weren’t to our taste and we moved elsewhere. Would definitely go back for another try.

Though not exactly atmospheric with its big windows and modern furniture, the Craft Beer Co. pub in Clerkenwell, as its name suggests, offers very good ales - I'm not a big fan of ale, so I wouldn't know, but my husband says the pub's choice of local and new ales is excellent.

Fab pub with great beer and friendly staff. The team are open to large group bookings which is a huge help when I have 25+ people wanting to do networking drinks.

An awesome spot for an Ale fan, a huge variety of ales on offer. The hadouken was sublime, even if it was on the strong side at 7.8%😁
