Address
Neighborhood: Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.

Georgian townhouses for clothing with plastic sculpture
Mar 2020 • Solo
Never a good idea to call anything Browns. It sounds ordinary, prosaic, and well, potentially fatal for a fashion store, lacking in colour. According to its website the first of the five South Molton Street townhouses which now comprise this shop was acquired in the 1970s and was one of the first boutiques to stock the likes of Nicole Farhi, Calvin Klein and the late Alexander McQueen, all of which means absolutely nothing to me as I am about as interested in fashion as is Boris Johnson in combing his hair or his shirt is properly tucked in his trousers. Photo shoots of someone modelling their womenswear are rather vulgar.Although there are rubber or plastic sculptures within the shop itself frankly those in the street outside impress me more by reason of both their bright colours and their utility (they double up as seats).

Nice food nice people, thanks Eni :). Me n my bf had a awesome birthday day celebration in this restaurant.

Perfection
Jan 2017 • Couples
I knew Hicks was going to be good but the food, staff and atmosphere were beyond my expectations. It isn't cheap but it's well worth experiencing for that special occasion.

If it's in your budget then try the sole or halibut you won't be disappointed and the desserts are to die for.

Poor food
Jan 2017 • Family
We visited browns yesterday expecting great things but we where extremely disappointed.
The food was worse than average. Myself my wife and two children all had different dishes. I never had a starter but the kids had a garlic bread, two slices of a French banquette toasted with a slither of garlic butter up the middle. ( they couldn't even be bothered to spread it ) the other had a prawn cocktail , nothing fancy just standard , a few prawns in cocktail sauce on shredded ice burg lettuce. My wife had onion soup, this was ok.
Now the mains , these where poor. I ordered a lobster, thinking it would be a show stealer , possibly the worst £25 iv ever spent. It was bland, dry and poorly cooked with very little meat , it was very small like it was bought frozen from Asda or Tesco. . My daughter had a burger this was probably a third the size of the bun , just sat in the middle all lonely . I was asked if the food was ok and I said no it wasn't, she didn't want to know about the lobster and said the burger had shrunk . I'm a chef and have been for 20 odd years and I know poor food and uneducated excuses. This was just awful cooking. She wasn't interested just wanted the money.
I'm sure if your visiting London you can find somewhere far better to eat.

Nice place for drinks
Jul 2016 • Couples
Popped in when we saw a cocktail sign outside and spent a good hour and a half having nibbles and a couple of drinks.
Used to be a tailors in days gone by according to the drinks waiter who volunteered some history as we were having a look at all the detail in he coving, walls and ceiling. Apparently Churchill went for a suit fitting once and there's a photo of him in the back of the bar.
Didn't eat a meal but saw some nice fish and chips being brought to a table of hungry ladies!

Fantastic afternoon tea- better than the Ritz
Mar 2016 • Friends
Was taken for afternoon tea many years ago & always wondered if it be as for a second time. Was also taken to the Ritz but preferred Browns. I got the chance to go again and if anything it was better. Love the released atmosphere, the attention to detail & fantastic service. Will definitely go again and can't recommend it enough. What a fantastic way to spend an afternoon.

Awesome Hotel
Feb 2015 • Business
Calssic English hotel int he best area of London in Mayfair. If its the classical English Hotel you are looking foe then this is the place. Updated Modern with the traditional top notch service. i stay here as a regular and with the pound so strong its still relative good value- though thats always hard in London for a Five Star Hotel
