Address
Neighborhood: Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.

This is indeed a very special place, perfectly located within walking distance of everything you need in central London. The staff manage to hit the right note of courtesy and friendliness. The accommodation is faultless, our suite was spacious yet cosy and the bathroom luxurious. The bar was inviting and the restaurant sophisticated but relaxed. My wife and I could not have had a more fabulous all round weekend. Browns is without doubt a sanctuary in the heart of this most captivating city.

Me and my friends visited Browns on my trip to London during Easter Holidays and as this was our first time experiencing genuine English Afternoon Tea and we were very pleased of our choice of place. We opted for their Tea-Tox Afternoon Tea menu, which seemed interesting. When we requested staff for re-fill of sandwiches, they told as that at that moment kitchen was making new Tea-Tox sandwiches but they could bring us the regular sandwiches and some traditional scones in addition and of course we were happy to try them as well. Also, staff was kind enough to suggest if we would like to try a different type of tea (and of course we were not hard to persuade) ;): Only one hick-up during our setting was that, i guess we over stay our booking little bit and we were kind of forgotten by the staff and had to go searching for a waiter to bring us a check. But over all, most enjoyable and memorable experience on our trip. P.S. The porter at the main door was very kind to pose in the group picture with a bunch of tourist.

Me and another 2 friends of mine went to Browns on a Monday aternoon to try their new service.
Eventhough we new that it was quite late, they didn´t have any problems into allocated us in a nice table and offeref us their champagne tea option.
Well, everything seemed to go ok until we realised that no member of staff was taking care of us as our cups there not filled up, our asthray was not exchange for a new one (we are heavy smokers) and our selection of sandwiches and pastries were not replaced neither...
On top of that and after been more than 45 minutes waiting for any waiter to come to our table, they realised that we were completely ignored so we decided to make a complaint but it seems that this lack of their service is not so important for the management.

Never a good idea to call anything Browns. It sounds ordinary, prosaic, and well, potentially fatal for a fashion store, lacking in colour. According to its website the first of the five South Molton Street townhouses which now comprise this shop was acquired in the 1970s and was one of the first boutiques to stock the likes of Nicole Farhi, Calvin Klein and the late Alexander McQueen, all of which means absolutely nothing to me as I am about as interested in fashion as is Boris Johnson in combing his hair or his shirt is properly tucked in his trousers. Photo shoots of someone modelling their womenswear are rather vulgar.Although there are rubber or plastic sculptures within the shop itself frankly those in the street outside impress me more by reason of both their bright colours and their utility (they double up as seats).

Nice food nice people, thanks Eni :). Me n my bf had a awesome birthday day celebration in this restaurant.

I knew Hicks was going to be good but the food, staff and atmosphere were beyond my expectations. It isn't cheap but it's well worth experiencing for that special occasion.

If it's in your budget then try the sole or halibut you won't be disappointed and the desserts are to die for.

We visited browns yesterday expecting great things but we where extremely disappointed.
The food was worse than average. Myself my wife and two children all had different dishes. I never had a starter but the kids had a garlic bread, two slices of a French banquette toasted with a slither of garlic butter up the middle. ( they couldn't even be bothered to spread it ) the other had a prawn cocktail , nothing fancy just standard , a few prawns in cocktail sauce on shredded ice burg lettuce. My wife had onion soup, this was ok.
Now the mains , these where poor. I ordered a lobster, thinking it would be a show stealer , possibly the worst £25 iv ever spent. It was bland, dry and poorly cooked with very little meat , it was very small like it was bought frozen from Asda or Tesco. . My daughter had a burger this was probably a third the size of the bun , just sat in the middle all lonely . I was asked if the food was ok and I said no it wasn't, she didn't want to know about the lobster and said the burger had shrunk . I'm a chef and have been for 20 odd years and I know poor food and uneducated excuses. This was just awful cooking. She wasn't interested just wanted the money.
I'm sure if your visiting London you can find somewhere far better to eat.
