    Let down by the restaurant
    This was my second visit, the venue itself is fun & we had a good time. However on both occasions the restaurant has been a let down, poor service. On this occasion (as I have food intolerances), I was offered a varied alternative to a main dish, however when my food finally arrived I was given a small burger batty sitting on a slice of tomato & a lettuce leaf! That was it. As compensation for this I was offered a bowl of cold red cabbage! When the bill came I questioned being charged full price, the manager was called who said I had to pay the full price as I had had the 'classic burger' (described under buns as a 6oz chuck steak & rib cap patty, shredded lettuce, tomato, red onion, mayo, smoked tomato & mustard relish). He did not want to hear anything further & I ended up paying the full price for something I didn't get. Not good. I shouldn've taken a photo

    Brilliant time!
    Absolutely awesome time at All Star Lanes Brick Lane! We were made feel so welcome. The bowling was such fun and the food was great, plus some really good drinks. All of the staff were fun, friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure our time there was nothing but fun. A special shout out to Nick, who was our host. He really was an absolute 'All Star' and truly went the extra mile to make sure everything ran smoothly. Thanks

    Allstar Lanes Brick Lane
    I visited Allstar lanes Brick lane today for Eid, it was a memorable experience as a day out. I was greeted with a very inviting smile by Leticia, she surprised me with her outstanding customer service and humour. I will definitely return.

Was really disappointed with the whole experience from booking through to on the night.

I tried to book a few months back but the booking later got cancelled as they weren't taking bookings for December until November 8th (despite this not being a Christmas party booking). I booked first thing on November 8th, to later find out the package wasn’t booked that I asked for and the karaoke had booked out. The only way of contact was via email where it was c. 10 days between responses, despite me responding asap. I reduced the number of booking to enable us to do karaoke, where there was one final slot at midnight meaning we were hanging around for ages. I am still awaiting the refund after advising I did NOT want the money to go behind the bar, and I have subsequently chased but still not getting any response.

On the night, they wouldn’t let two members of the party in as they did not have ID - nowhere does it let you know you need ID for bowling, I understand that it is a licence premise but they need to make this clear. I live over an hour away from the venue, I could not return home. Little sympathy was given and the attitude of everyone was awful. We had been sent an email being told we had to do a covid test, where they could've mentioned the need for ID, but they didn’t, and not one person's covid results were checked on the night. I showed them all booking emails and the only place they could show the need for ID was by printing out their long terms and conditions (find me one person who will read that). Sadly a corporate party of a group ages 40+ also got turned away due to the ID issue. The place felt empty, clearly they did this to a few people which is pretty short sighted of them, but they had already got our £75 pp.

Onto the food, it was poor and very little considering we were a booking of 14. The atmosphere was dead and the staff unfriendly. Reading the other reviews it seems that most had a similar experience.

I would actively not recommend this place, and if anyone is reading this, please can you contact me about providing the refund from the cancelled booking.

Such junk food and drinks and awful clientele .
The venue concept is cool and the venue is decently kept . The bowling is fun so here all good.
The food is not the best, expensive stuff for very low quality food. Also the environment is not very nice, they should select a bit their clientele. I felt uncomfortable and also the service was terrible! Cocktails? Naaaah! I won’t return
It’s a pricy place pretending to be premium when is full of chavs around and my understanding was that their own office managers were hanging around “tipsy” making such a noise that we could not enjoy our time!

The only way to book a game was by having dinner at the venue. Food was below mediocre and overpriced, but we were willing to do it to have a nice evening playing. Then we were told we have 40min between the four of us for our game before having to leave the lane, which made the whole bowling experience rushed and stressful. And the music volume were put up so we couldn’t even have a conversation. None of us enjoyed the experience and regret going, overpriced and overhyped place - do not recommend

Unfortunately I have to say my experience was not good.
First started with customer service agent Ceon... he was incredibly rude and impatient, he ignored all questions I sent on my e-mails, but was ready to reply with information he had already provided me with.
They ask for 24h to confirm final numbers, I e-mailed him with 72h in advance and the response I got was "try to sick to it this time as I have updated the numbers already for you" - well, I'm sorry. Is it too difficult to update numbers with all this notice? Nothing was pre ordered. These are uncertain times and this was badly handled.

We have decided to go anyway, after all, a deposit was paid.
On arrival, instead of a hosting spirit, we were greeted by a extremely rude security. He not only made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, but also all groups behind us. He told me to quiet my voice down and let him speak, took our Secret Santa gifts saying they were not allowed inside and threatened to refuse us. He almost ruined out night.
Luckily the manager and waiter Rogerio were able to welcome us after this, and for them I would give 5 stars, but unfortunately everything else was a bigger issue.
We also got all our secret Santa gift at the end, so big fuss over nothing.

I'm a coeliac, so I emailed the venue prior to booking to ask if they had Gluten free options and they said 'we certainly do'. On arrival the only allergen free options on the menu were the beetroot and humus chips as a starter option, no main options and as sides 'house salad and green beans', and for desert 'sorbet and tiramisu'. You can imagine my disappointment when it came to ordering. The lady serving spoke to the kitchen and said only the Piri piri chicken with house salad was an option.

I received the chicken and house salad with green beans without any sauce. I have never been so embarrassed to receive any food and it cost £15. It was terrible, not even a sauce! I presumed since she said the piri piri was safe to eat, it included the sauce. I asked if the fries could be oven-cooked, if frying them led to cross contamination and was told this was not allowed as they were frozen.

I would have expected after being told there were options available and it being 2020 that I would have had a few items to choose from on the menu. I was extremely disappointed.

We proceeded to the bowling lane where we were told we had 40mins (10mins/per person). We finished our game 15 minutes early and hoped to played another quick game before our time was up, but another couples' name appeared and were standing behind us. I asked at the desk if this was a mistake as we had 15 minutes left, but she was nothing other than unprofessional and rude and said that she would charge us for the extra 15 minutes. I told her we paid £40 for 40 minutes. I then spoke to another lady who was understanding and apologetic of the situation and she explained that you have 40 minutes, but if your game finishes early then you have finished. This wasn't clear at all when booking.
I will not be returning back to all star lanes and will certainly not be advising any coelaics and gluten intolerant people to go there, after an expensive disappointing night.

Firstly my booking was messed up by venue I booked for eating and bowling, when I arrived was told my booking cannot be found, then they found it but the bowling was not booked, was offered a much later bowling slot with a free game added (which I didn't accept as it was far too late in the evening) sat down to eat waitress did not look happy to be taking our order no customer service skills at all! Drinks orders were incorrect twice! I was given alcohol in my apple juice and I don't drink! Had a hard time trying to get a waitress to wait our table even though it was not busy at this time...then they sent a waitress (same race as us) who was BUSY waiting another table to take our dessert order??? The meal it's self was lovely but all the other elements spoilt the evening for us and I can't help but think our race had alot to do with the service we received.

I am willing to try a different branch of all star lanes but brick Lane is a big fat No No.

Do not book!! They take your money and then ghost you when it’s time to get a refund.
I booked a mini-family get together for me and my cousins and needed to amend the booking. I was told by someone called Ceon that I had to cancel and rebook. He said he had issued the refund, but almost a month later I’ve received nothing! So we never ended up meeting up! The whole meet-up was ruined!!
They ignore all emails and you can’t call them. Had to get my bank to do a chargeback. Absolutely disgusting service. Will NEVER EVER use All star lanes! I’d rather go bowling at Rowans in Finsbury Park, it’s a dump, but at least they won’t scam you out of your hard earned money!

Waited 10 mins with no attention before being seated, another 45 minutes before we had a drink (after standing at the bar when we realised no one would come and take our order) and hour and 3/4 after arrival we got our starters (2 of which were cold) and then mains with fries forgotten and were only compensated with a free drink each, no discount from the bill at the end of this 2 hour experience. Then moved onto bowling which was scheduled form 4-5:10pm, 4 goes into bowling the pins stopped appearing and we had to wait, rushing us. Overall I would not return to all star brick lane or recommend to a friend, the food was good but the time waited (with a hungry 6 year old) made the experience unpleasant for the whole group.

Don’t book during covid. Even if you have a positive test they will still take your deposit unless you have given 72 hours notice. Guess we should have known 2 days ago that we would develop covid. Also forced to book a meal with your bowling so you end up losing a deposit of £10.50 each which is more than it normally costs to buy one game of bowling. I assume people with covid are therefore encouraged to still go so would avoid if you have a nice holiday coming up.

Not sure why they bother having any bowling lanes as it seems clear they don’t want you to spend much time actually bowling. We booked one game as a couple on a weekend. As this is their peak time, they require you to book for food as well (unless you’re a group of 6+) which we were happy to do until we actually started playing. We were no more than 10 minutes into our time slot, having had five turns each when the screen started prompting us to hurry and end our game. Then for the final 10 minutes of our game we had the next group there stood waiting for us to finish, even though there were two other lanes not being used. We tried to order more drinks (as the cocktails are nice!) but were told to finish the game as the next group were waiting - so disappointing.

I know covid has been tough and I’m sure they want to reduce costs but why run a bowling alley if all you want us to do is sit in the bar or restaurant? We ended up leaving when I’d have happily paid for another couple of games and dinner if we weren’t rushed. Wouldn’t bother going back.
