I love this little museum. Tucked away in leafy Hampstead, the buiding has its own history as well as housing an interesting local collection. There are several exhibitions a year which inform on aspects of Hampstead's past life, as well as a gallery with changing exhibitions. There is a small museum shop and the Buttery is also excellent. All in all, this house museum is well worth several return visits during the year.

This is a free, small, independent run museum, when you go for a walk in hidden Hampstead neigborough, you will find it. It's not well known, and this is its attraction. No tourists here but worth it. Go to the small bar downstairs (The Burgh House) to have breakfast or a small lunch. Not too big in offer but well worth as well.Far from London downtown, but worth if you go to know hamstead.
