Given the balmy April weather we thought it a suitable destination for my 14,12 and 8 year old children.
Firstly parking. There are restrictions by the park and traffic wardens on the prowl I would recommend parking on Dunstan Road which is free on weekends...More
Visited here by taking the bus and getting off at Dunston/W. Heath rd. A short walk to the park. Beautiful spring flowers-daffodils, tulips, magnolia and cherry trees in bloom. We had intended to cross over to Hampstead Heath proper but ended up wandering around here....More
Visited this lovely park on a sunny spring afternoon, it has lots of attractions a very busy children’s playground, a mini zoo with lemurs, donkeys, birds etc. There was also a butterfly house which we missed as it closes at 3pm. Also duck pond and...More

Free park in London with a mini zoo, play area, water gardens, cafe and butterfly park (open1-3pm ).
Very well kept, clean, litter free and decent toilet facilities.
Friendly staff in the cafe area with reasonable prices.
