- Rera PopsLondon, United Kingdom185 contributionsGreat place to spend an hour or two on a sunny Sunday,A mix of food (with some incredible smelling meat options), clothing, jewellery, flowers, art and other stalls to browse. As a veggie and a pesci we opted for vegetarian momo, a veggie onigiri (which looked rather more like a Japanese taco) and a salmon handroll from three different vendors. There are plenty of picnic tables set up on the street to sit at and we had no problem finding a space quickly. We also picked up some chilli pate and etna pesto from the cheese stall, some 'handmade in Hackney' trousers and a hairband from clothing and accessory vendors. I'm a big fan of the shops on Broadway Market too - in particular the book shops. Very near to Columbia Road Flower Market, Hackney City Farm, Victoria Parkand of course the Regent's canal.Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 23, 2024
- leilei00009Greece513 contributionsBroadway marketWhile there's a market in the morning, this place is buzzing in the evenings with bars, pubs and restaurants to go out in the evening. Loads of outside space, near London Fields. Community feeling although some chains have started to move in to the market and some of the shops have shut down sadly. A little too crowded on the market on Sundays.Visited June 2024Traveled with friendsWritten August 2, 2024
- AMMossley, United Kingdom4 contributionsBusy and bustling market full of friendly welcoming traders who all have a passion for what they doI recently headed down to London for a few days and conveniently booked a flat to stay directly on Broadway Market, right in the centre of the street with the market stalls literally right on the doorstep. We arrived on the Saturday and were greeting with an abundance of market stalls (to our surprise even though the name is a big giveaway) and was pleasantly surprised to see such a thriving market with stalls selling *almost* everything you could possibly need. There were stalls for a clothing, vinyl records, jewellery and practically any cuisine you could want! Just walking up and down the market the sellers were so friendly and welcoming. There was a whole range of food options, ranging from sweet treats, small bites and full on meals. Honestly, you could walk up and down the street not having to purchase a single meal and still have a fully belly with the traders being so friendly with the range of samples they have to offer. The only complaint I have is that in my hungover state I was unable to find a chicken burger stall on the Sunday, but with the sheer amount of other options available I was more than satisfied with the authentic Greek box I purchased instead. It’s great to see such a thriving market with such welcoming traders offering a whole range of products. From the stalls we checked out the prices are very reasonable (especially being from Manchester expecting absurd London prices) for such fresh and quality food. (I only took two pictures of one of the stalls that we ate from and it was delicious)Visited November 2024Traveled with friendsWritten November 15, 2024
- Dr. FNottingham, United Kingdom1,116 contributionsThe OG London Weekend Market Minus the Tourist Traps.Broadway Market in Hackney is a weekend food market open on Saturdays and Sundays till 5:30 pm. It’s walking distance from London Fields station. The market is full of stalls with food, dessert and drink options from all over the globe. The prices are reasonable, there are few great stalls here which are a must try. My favorite is Broadway Churro Club who are friendly and serve mesmerizing filled Churros. It’s a local favorite which needs to be known more by tourists to enjoy and experience the magic of a real English street food market.Visited November 2024Traveled soloWritten December 13, 2024

Wow, what a vibrant Saturday market at Broadway. We visited very early as they opened in September and returned again on our next visit to London mid morning in October. Excellent stalls with all manner of goods and fresh produce, along with food which we enjoyed.

Such a perfect London thing, Broadway Market. Make your way over here on a Saturday afternoon. The market is a few blocks long and full of vendors selling cool and delicious things. A nice mix of places selling food to make yourself (vegetables, meats, etc.), handcrafted goods, and prepared foods. Stroll the whole thing, then decide what to eat—I doubt you’ll be disappointed by anything!
The shops on the street are worth a browse, too: coffee places, a couple of bookstores, etc. And, once you’ve grabbed your takeaway lunch from one of the vendors, you can enjoy it in beautiful London Fields park, right at one end of the market. Then, you can burn off (some of) the calories with a stroll along the canal.
Full of locals, totally delightful, and perfect on a sunny London Saturday.

This place absolutely buzzes, with a friendly, multi cultural, happy vibe. The stalls sell mainly food, with some interestingly different craft stalls interspersed among them. Retro clothes, baby wear, dog treats, rugs, woodware, plus takeawayfood. Each side of the stalls are wonderful shops, really niche foods from all over the world. It was packed when we went, all sorts of languages from all over the world.
Good pubs and restaurants as well, pizza place is ace.
It's not cheap, but it is fabulous.
Full credit to Hackney Council for running such a wonderful market.
Bloody Mary's in the Dove are worth coming for on their own!!

I love this market but it’s very sad to see the impact Covid has had and a lot of the traders told me they are struggling , getting no pitch fee reduction and may not be able to continue much longer . The overseas tourists are not there and some people are still cautious which has impacted these hardworking massively . Help them out and shop here if you can .

A lively market streching the length of a street called, appropriately, Broadway Market. Mostly, but not exclusively, devoted to food either to eat in situ or take home. We saw an excellent cheese stall and another specialising in different types iof scotch eggs.

Great market with lots of little restaurants and bars. My friend live in the area and we went there one night. Drinks in one place, dinner at another and a few more drinks and dancing at the last place. We had a great night. Place really comes alive at night!

This part of London is buzzing! A real mix of hipsters and crackheads. The market is ok, not East End barrow boys but friendly enough.
Lots of places to eat.
Watch out for cyclists without lights at night and don't talk to wide eyed strangers.

Brilliant market, mostly food but a few other stalls. Really great morning out trying new foods. It’s not cheap but nice for a treat. The fresh coconut milk was something I’ve never tried before, loved it. Really close to the station

A good old fashioned street market and turning into something akin to a favourite hipster marketplace. The market is very compact consisting on basically one street, just to the south of London Fields. The old fashioned market is only open on Saturdays though, on the other days, the stalls disappear and only the local still hipster-ish shops are there.
There's a good mix of stalls selling food, handicrafts, clothes and specialist foods. A vegetarian or vegan should have no problem with choice of food here. If not in one of the stalls then almost certainly in one of the many permanent cafes and restaurants. A great place for a half day wander around on a weekend.

Even if you don't have anything you need to buy, strolling through the Broadway Market is a MUST DO because it gives you a great perspective about everyday London. Lots of prepared food if you are hungry!
