Booked this as a couples surprise. We knew the area very well and managed to save a good amount on the parking by using street parking in close proximity.
Hotel facilities seemed very nice and the staff were more than helpful pointing us in the right direction.
Arriving a little early, wasn't an issue for the Spa team we completed our questionnaires and were then taken through to the calming room which was lit dimly with relaxing music and a wide selection of teas. The only gripe was there wasn't much water but it seemed to get refilled post-massage.
The massage itself (Back & Shoulder) was honestly one of the best I've ever had and I've had a few from different spas. Deep tissue and I'm sure the chap must have been a physio in a previous or current life as he performed some pulling of my shoulder too which felt amazing. Excellent value for money.
In terms of the spa facilities, the changing rooms were accessible, clean and well stock with toiletries and towels. The pool was a tad on the colder side of warm but still usable with some of the best facilities we've ever used the airbed jacuzzi and massage chair were amazing!.
We made good use of the footbaths, sauna and steam room before lying on the heated chairs.
We spent a good amount of time using the rest of the spa facilities, just wish there was a quieter area for the heated chairs as one thing we didn't realise until relaxing on them was how noisy the pool facilities were once activated by other guests.
For anyone who lives in the SW11 area, they have great deals on membership! definitely worthwhile and it's a shame we live quite far away otherwise I'd probably join!

We arrived around 12pm on sunday. I had emailed the spa back in November, found correspondence very quick in replying, within a day, we was all booked in and just had to wait for the day. It was amazing, we all had 2xtreatments, which we was all so pleased about. A few hours in the spa, hydro pool is amazing, sauna, steam and heated stone bed all very good. The front of house gals, very helpful, and efficient. We would all come back for sure. Thank you to you all, including all the treatment guys/gals, we all have had the best day, and treatments stunning. Thank you!

I have visited Spa Verta several times now and I really love it. It's not too busy so you really can relax. Its underground so you are away from daily life and noise.
I booked the full body poultice massage (55 mins). My therapist was Anis who was absolutely fantastic. He took into account the problem areas I had and helped to relieve the pain and stiffness. Within only a few minutes I felt completely relaxed and somewhat transported. I think I can say that the massage is probably the best I have ever had. It was so good I went back a second time and was not disappointed!
Anis is charming and all the staff I have met there are really lovely.
I was given gift vouchers by my boyfriend and they remember him coming in and have remembered me as a result each time I have returned. It sounds obvious but it really makes for a lovely experience.
The spa area is good too. The jets in the pool are wonderfully strong and the sauna very spacious.
The steam room is large and has gently sparkling lights in the ceiling to aid relaxation.
My only complaint is that it doesn't seem to fill with enough steam. It may be old and needs servicing.
Please Spa Verta get it fixed! My review would come with 5 stars then!
I am looking forward to going back again very soon. Thank you Spa Verta Team.

Tiny facilities with only two available loungers.
Limited rooms:one sauna, steam room and solarium all of which feel cramped with more than 4 people in them.
The pool is very small with a limited number of features to use. We went on Friday and it felt overcrowded and poor value for money.

You can have the best facilities in very beautiful surroundings but if the Therapists look down on paying clients, act as if they have better things to do or make guests feel unwelcomed, snap at every question or cut off clients whilst they are speaking - then all is in vain because the most important part of any experience is the way staff treat guests. No one would ever pay money to experience feeling unwelcomed or spoken to in a demeaning or rude way.
If I could do things differently, I would of just paid for a friend and I to use the facilities as that part of the experience was pleasant but unfortunately the two female staff (I later found out they were covering the reception area on behalf of the Receptionist - they sure did let her down!) treated us as if we were interrupting their day, no greeting (I was ignored when I said hello) no basic customer service skills (a simple smile and how can I help you would of been fine). After an awkward staring contest I eventually said hello (again) and explained that we were there for an appointment. One of the females in particular was unbelievably rude, in her mannerism and tone.
My friend who was visiting London was also disappointed with the lack of after care service, once the Therapist finished the massage she just asked in a monotone voice 'how was that?' After my friend said it was nice the Therapist turned around without saying a single word and left
The Therapist just seem very disinterested in what she was doing and unfortunately as customers we could sense this..
We do look very young, however this should never be used as an advantage to treat anyone less worthy. We paid the same amount for our Spa package as everyone else and should of received the same basic customer service experience too.

Therapist badly burnt my husband during a hot stones massage. Burnt his skin so badly it formed a huge blister. She knew she had done this and didn't day a word to him. He knew he had been burnt but didn't know the extent until we left and I looked. Avoid this spa like the plague! Got money back for his massage but that was it... He came out injured!

Dear Preston89,
I am truly sorry to read about your spa experience and your husbands burns. I do hope he has since fully recovered. Since your review, and also the rebranding of the hotel to Crowne Plaza, our Spa has gone through many changes and improvements. I am confident that the experience our spa offers today would be worlds apart from the one you had previously.

Spa Verta itself is clean, modern and has some great facilities. Unfortunately, it's let down by its staff and the treatments.
I'm not sure if we visited on a bad day, but the staff just seemed inexperienced and uninterested. It certainly was not on a par with other spa treatments that we've had... and a lot more expensive!
My boyfriend had a whole body massage which he found incredibly unpleasant and ended up sore and bruised the next day.
I had a taster facial which was ok and opted for the anti stress back massage too. Unfortunately it was poor and not at all as advertised. The description states that the back, legs and feet would be massaged once the mud was applied but this was not the case. The therapist practically just stroked my hair. She also left the room inexplicably about 3 times without saying anything, which I found unsettling.
Overall, I don't feel like I've had a massage so may as well have thrown £65 down the drain!

My daughter and I went for the lunch/spa package . The lunch was good and the staff polite and friendly . After lunch we had booked a 55 minute treatment each . My daughter went for the full body massage and was quite happy with her treatment . I booked for the Espa facial and have to say I was extremely dissatisfied. The facial had no continuity to it and I felt the therapist was not really interested in what she was doing and was stroking my face to kill time . I have worked with espa and have been trained by them and have to say they train their therapists to a very high standard but did not feel that this was the case with this therapist. I had no consultation, no smell tests, no explanation as to what to expect. I did not have a facial massage nor did I have the 'pink mud' hair treatment while I had the mask on (which I must add was on my face for all of two minutes!!). When she finished the treatment her and her colleague who massaged my daughter just walked out of the room telling us to drink plenty of water without so much as asking us how the treatment was or if we were happy. We went to the reception and we're sitting going through their menu where Tina , my therapist appeared and asked if she could help us . I then went on to ask her if I could discuss my treatment with her .... asked her why I hadn't had my head massage and pink mud to which she replied ....wait for it ....' we ran out of the product !! I was lost for words . I just feel that had I not been a therapist I would not have picked up on this ....does this mean other non suspecting people get shortchanged? Her response was quite rude as she proceeded to ask me what I wanted now because she had not given me the head massage which was part of the treatment. She then offered me some free samples . This spoilt the experience..... the day would have been perfect. The spa facilities were lovely., clean, pool great, very quiet.

I booked a Spa day at the Hotel Verta with my daughter for her birthday. From the moment we arrived, at concierge, we were made to feel very welcomed. First impressions: What the Spa lacks in size it more than makes up for in quality. The Anne Semonin beauty products, the calming ambience of the spa facilities, speciality teas in the relaxation area and more. We both enjoyed our day which was made extra special because of the professionalism, friendlessness and attentiveness of the Spa staff. My facial was probably one of the best I have ever enjoyed. We had the set lunch in the Patrisey Restaurant, which was included in our day package. The food was superb and delicious. Every attention to detail was given to the preparation of the food. Again the service was first class. We would definitely return to the hotel for lunch if we were in London for the day. All-in-all, a first class Spa treat, which was made very special because of the staff at Hotel Verta caring about what they do and delivering an excellent all round service in a top class hotel.
