I got off at St John's Wood underground and took the few minutes walk to this road. When I got there, there already people there. The road was quite busy, but it didn't stop them from walking onto the famous zebra crossing and having selfies and photos taken. I was able to walk across on the famous crossing and went to the wall, where people have signed it over the years. Another person was also signing it, as I looked at it. I then went into the shop and they had two hand gels, which everyone had to use before they touched anything. The shop wasn't very big and there didn't seem to be enough space for everyone to walk round in it. I would recommend this famous road, if you are a Beatles fan.

No trip to London is complete for a Beatles fan without popping by this historic location! While you cannot go inside (it is, after all, a working studio) you can get some great photos of the building!
My daughter and I not only enjoyed writing on the wall (bring a Sharpie!) but we liked reading what was on the wall to see where people came from to visit as well as some funny and clever sayings and drawings!
There is a shop next to the studio that has a wide range of gifts to purchase. I found that there was a pretty good selection and the staff was nice and helpful.
Of course, there is the famous zebra crossing just down the way. I was here before in 2021 and it was rather easy to get a photo crossing it but during this visit, it was absolute chaos. No one lined up to take turns, it was just about who was the most aggressive. Some people were absolutely oblivious to the people who were driving down the road taking too much time standing in the crosswalk. I also witnessed a father with three kids, who had already had them cross about three times much to their chagrin, shove them into the crosswalk. If you want to get the famous shot, go early in the morning when the people and traffic are at a minimum.

The Beatles used Abbey Road Studios during the 60’s and 70’s for their recordings. The made the Zebra Crossing outside famous worldwide and now the Crossing and Studios are now a major tourist attractions .

If you love music, this place is worth a visit. As other reviews noted, there is not much to do here per se aside from remembering (and later re-listening to) some of the world's greatest melodies that were recorded in this rather inconspicuous building: from Beatles, obviously, to Pink Floyd to Massive Attack and Radiohead and Oasis, and so many more, including Harry Styles [aka the primary reason for my teenage company]. The sidewalk nearby (yep, the "Beatles" one) is perpetually busy but once you venture to the studio, do stop by the studio store next door - they lay down the history of who's who and what's when. Was quite a trip down the memory lane for me.

Nostalgic place for Beatles lovers. A lot of couples and groups taking pictures on the crossing, but it seems that car drivers already familiar with the situation and are waiting patiently.
Just in frount of the crossing located the Abbey Road Studios museum.
It's a free nice museum and a little shop. Worth a short visit. Could be nice for families with kids.

If you are a Beatles fan, Abbey Road is a must. Don't expect anything overtly reminiscent of the Beatles when you arrive. You will understand that you are in the right place thanks to the small crowd of customers who - risking their lives, given the sprint driving of the motorists in the area - try to reproduce the legendary photo of the legendary 4 on the pedestrian crossing near the studios.

There is always a crowd crossing the street and having their picture taken emulating the famous Abbey Road album cover. It's not a tourist trap like you might think it would be. Nobody trying to charge you for taking your picture. Everyone just did it with their own cell phones or cameras. Finally, something to do in London without tourist price gouging. London drivers know this is a tourist spot and they are polite to fans in the middle of the intersection. There is always a crowd.
There's a white column that everyone signs their name to or leaves a message. But, it gets painted white all over again in a few days so take your picture of your message while you can.
If you're a Paul fan you're supposed to take your shoes and socks off as he was the only Beatle barefoot when the album cover picture was taken.

This was a bucket list spot to visit. We signed the wall. We visited the shop which was understandably expensive so we didn't get much. I definitely felt the vibe of the place and even got a little emotional. I strongly encourage any music (or film) lover to experience it. I wish they had a gallery to visit as well.
I would strongly discourage doing "the walk". It's very obvious that the locals are completely fed up of the disruptions to vehicle traffic to the point that i honestly believe its just dangerous. I saw groups going back and forth a few times trying to get the perfect shot. Just don't do it! Please!

Stay away from the retail store next door. The employees are snot nosed, privileged, little bed wetters that are too busy giggling with each other behind the counter to attend to customers. Could not answer a simple question about merchandise in stock. Not sure whether or not they are affiliated with the studios, but signage indicates they are. Be forewarned. Get your product online somewhere else and save your time and dignity.

Brilliant evening was so lucky to win tickets, to attend a special evening with Rosie Charles and Edith Bowman. Great to see all the different piano s from over the years. In studio 2. Great hospitality, food and drink a memorable evening indeed

When do tickets go on sale again to be able to go into Abbey Road Studio? We are coming next year and would love to do this? How much do the tickets costs?

The Abbey Road Studios lectures are an annual event so I guess it will be August next year when they do the open days again. The tickets are £120 each for full access to the studios and a two hour lecture about the history of Abbey Road, I have been twice and it is a memorable day. The thing is, the studios are working studios with artist recoding there every day so access to the working areas are not normally permitted. You can visit and watch "fans" take their chances while by being photographed on the zebra crossing and visit the store. Hope this helps? Paul McCartney lives just round the corner, you never know, you might spot him out and about in St Johns Wood.

Hello, I didn't see any photographs, but here were a lot of people and may some of them will be able to make your photo while you wlk across the street. You can enter the Abbey Road shop (it' a shop) but not the abbey roaDs studio (only for musician sessions). I din't understand your third question. Es war zu schwer fûr mich auf Deutsch zu antworten. :-)

No, But there are so many Beatle fans there, especially after 10;00 till dark that you will have no trouble getting anyone to take your pictures. You can also go to the Abbey Road webcam and find the date you were there and time and many pictures are posted on the live cam web site.

The most famous recording studio named Abbey Road in the world is at North-West London.
I visited in there at the day was before 2days of my 15days UK tour(Edinburgh・Glasgow・Liverpool・Wembley Stadium).
The Beatles had recorded many great singles and albums at there. Many musicians in the world have been coming due to record. One of Japanese musician is Kazuo Zaitu (ex Tulip)or チャゲ＆飛鳥.
Zaitu and I used to talk about Abbey Road Studio at Tokyo SF studio.
Everyone used to take a photo at it sound like The Beatles album” Abbey Road” in front of studio, me too. This location is in quiet residential section. I was very surprised the quiet due to record Rock &Roll. I went to there by London Cub, couldn’t see Bus /Double-decker stop. There was Rolls Royce in parking of Studio. I was perfect 120% hick took a photos at stairs The Beatles had done up and down many times. I asked to a guard man ”Can I come into inside?” The answer was surly” No”.
But it happened to my miracle. The Beatles or Pink Floyd recording engineer Alan Parson was recording as his band ”The Alan Parsons Project” then.
His band guitarist Ian Bairnson came out due to take a rest with Scotch glass &smoke. As soon as possible he saw me, he asked me“Are you Japanese? You, Beatles?” I said ”Sure, I’m crazy about The Beatles came all the way from Japan. Ian said “Do you wanna come into inside?” I said“ Sure, sure”. Ian said“OK easy, come in. But hold on to drink & smoke “I said ”Sure” He said a guard man that he was OK.
Abbey Road Studio has two studios; one is big for orchestra another is normal that The Beatles used. There was game some machines to relax.
There was a play back room at right hand, he lead me the way to it. He gave me a green light to take photos inside and touched with mixing tag.
Dreams come true!! “ How lucky man I am! I’m dreaming?” and without no appointment and no connection. I had been working at AM radio in Japan, My reason why I do wanna come near and strong courage. I have not been spiking English even today, but I toured UK/Edinburgh・Glasgow・Liverpool・Wembley Stadium via domestic air, train for 15 days. I got on a train to London from Liverpool sounds like firm “A Hard Days Night”. That train’s conductor happened to be a classmate of John Lennon at high school. He proudly told to me about John Lennon was one of his friends. He traded my general ticket in for special ticket.
Back to Abbey Road Studio, Ian said he didn’t have any souvenir for me. Then he gave me Abbey Road Studio rental chart and big poster.
Ian asked me ”The Alan Parsons Project” was popular in Japan? Ware you going to get their new album in Japan?” I said “Sure”. And he told me are you interested in Duran Duran? （ They are a peak in the world, then）If you don’t mind, Ian invited me to their rehearsal. Unfortunately, I told him I had to come back to Japan tomorrow, Thanks you very mush. I never forget you and your kindness. If I would stay in UK? At last I asked to him why you gave a me a permission to come into? Ian said my girl friend was cute Japanese, That’s it. Oh my goodness!
