Immerse yourself in Victorian London on this one-of-a-kind Jack the Ripper experience featuring RIPPER-VISION.™ Unlike other tours, your guide uses handheld projectors to accompany spine-chilling tales of the murders committed by Jack the Ripper in the 1800s. As you explore the dimly lit back streets of Whitechapel, images of Victorian London are projected onto buildings to guarantee a highly atmospheric experience. Plus, an evening departure time means you’ll experience London at its most mysterious.

I worked in Soho for 15 years, and have been back quite a bit recently. Berwick St Market has changed a lot. The old market traders are mostly gone, replaced by street food vendors. On the one hand, they offer an affordable lunch now that all the old cafes have been replaced by trendy and expensive alternatives. But on the other hand, I miss the old Italian cafes and delis, like San Marco on Lexington Street, and a host of others. I know you can't go back, but sometimes the old ways were better. It feels a lot like half a dozen other places around London now. At least The Blue Posts is still there! Shame the old chip shop has gone though.

There is a wide selection of ethnic foods to choose from. I opted for paella which was delicious. i took my food a few blocks away and ate my lunch at Soho Square which was very nice. The market also has a few fruit stands.

I remember this street market and its surrounding shops first back some 40 years ago and up to relatively recently it was a fresh fruit and veg and clothing market, resounding with calls and banter by the great characters running the stalls. These days it has morphed into a street food offering, with the usual choices of everything from Jamaican to Thai food. There are just a few of the old fresh produce stalls still left. Good that it’s still a street market, but it’s nothing very exceptional when there are so many similar street food venue in the centre of London.

Lively afternoon market with varied food stalls. Great vibe and amazing smells, but the actual food we at from several vendors were just okay Nothing bad, but not great either. It was great for grabbing a quick bite between touring the city and fun to walk thru regardless.

Berwick street market has less goods and clothes sellers and more street food vendors..not bad if you work nearby..but somehow Soho is losing its soul.
