Great place to hang out, enjoy a drink, a show (sometimes) and chill

Wandered through here while the Just for laughs London festival was on. Good to see so many out enjoying the sun. Plenty of seats, sun, shade and refreshments.

We walked through the park every day to go in the centre of London and it's such a lovely haven in the centre of such a large city. There is also a café/bar in there and you see lots of family and friends who have picked up food, sitting down together eating. You are also allowed to have a BBQ... More

Russell square is a lovely relaxing urban garden in the midst of Bloomsbury, London, very close to the British Musuem and the University of London. It has a really lovely peaceful atmosphere and is the perfect place to sit and enjoy the surrounding architecture, watch people, read a book or go for a stroll or jog. There are many cafes... More

Russell square is actually a public park. Small in size, but a quite place in the city. You can relax here, do your morning walk. exercise, or read your book. There is a good restaurant within this park serving snacks and hot-cold drinks. It is very near to British museum. Many good hotels are around it, So normally it remains... More

We pass this beautiful garden on our way to British Museum and I found it calming with it's greenery. We actually buy a couple of Starbuck Coffee upon done wondering inside the British Museum and take a break at this garden. It is after rain and the cold weather made up by the hot coffee and watching the birds play... More

Very nice small and quiet park. Very close to the British Museum. A good place to rest after a grueling visit to the museum .

A we walked up to this park in a fashionable urban neighborhood, I immediately thought of Gramercy Park in New York City, which similarly occupies an entire city block in a wealthy area. This park, however, does not require ownership and a coveted key for entry--it is open to the public and even we lowly commoners were able to walk... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
