The South Kensington location of the celebrated auction house founded in 1766, Christie's, covers primarily the middle market with monthly interior sales and a variety of themed sales. A short five minute walk from the South Kensington tube stop, this auction gallery has been a...More

This for me is the highlight of the year at this branch of the international auction emporium that is Christie's. Multiplied is a three-day fair which takes place towards the end of Frieze week, named both after the enormous exhibition of the Emperor's New Clothes...More

I wouldn't recommend trying to sell items that you value through Christie's. They tend to keep items for months, don't look after them, let them deteriorate, then return them to you saying they are not good enough for them to sell. If you are visiting...More

This was a private party held to celebrate a 25th wedding anniversary, 21st and 18th birthdays. An interesting viewing of Terry O'Neill photos of The Rolling Stones and The Beatles which are coming up for auction in early September.

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
