The area
Neighborhood: Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.

Close to Victoria and the River Thames there are lots of nice houses some of which are now converted into flats. There is a tube station within the area which is on the Victoria Line with links to the West End, major railway stations and North East London.Visited January 2024Traveled soloWritten January 17, 2024
- Brwa s35 contributions👍👍👍👍This is the best barbers I've been to in London.. easily! All the gents who work here have always given a great haircut with brilliant attention to detail and care taken. What's great is they listen to what you've asked for and give you exactly that! Recommend to anyone looking for a barber in London!Visited July 2024Traveled on businessWritten July 8, 2024

Central London! Really? It's so peaceful!
Feels like a residential area. Small hotels, cafes and shops. Minutes from Victoria Station. Easy airport access, underground and buses.
I loved the buses to get around. Less stairs and a view of the streets.
I will stay no other area!

Always my fave place to stay in central London. Great range of hotels, near many popular places within walking distance. Good restaurants and food options, plus only about a 10 min walk to Victoria.

Pimlico is relatively affluent part of London. Very quiet, elegant and close to Victoria Station which can be reach by the Victoria Line. It's proximity to central London with many attractions walkable means that there's lots of hotels & public parks in the area too.
Much of the area was planned by Thomas Cubitt, whose statue stands in Denbigh Street.

Pimlico is a very underrated part of town, it is within walking distance of the west end, safe and has a village atmosphere. When i visit London I will always stay in Pimlico.

A nice small part of Westminster with a village atmosphier in the center of london. Nice small shops with kind and careing people. Their is a large class differance between many though as there are a few ratyher large councal and private developments. Witch does and can cause problems to the higher class. There is also a large public school witch has many students that are a menace to the local area due to the fact taht they are from poor parts of london such as the south and north. But all this said it is a lovely place that must be seen.

We felt safe, which in London is not always easy to say. It is so close to the city centre but just far enough to be quiet.
Belgrave Road is end to end hotels and there is one to suit most pockets.
The area is packed with restaurants and pubs and there are plenty of reviews for all of them.
10 mins walk to Victoria station is better than the two minute walk to Pimlico underground, for going around London.
The 24 bus takes you from Belgrave Road into the city every 10-15 mins.

Pimlico is one of the most beautiful and central inner city villages in London. It is within 10 minutes walk to King's Road Chelsea, Tate Britain museum, and Victoria where you can find great shops, theaters and transport links.
There's some amazing scenery with easy access to and views of Battersea Park, the art deco Battersea Power Station and the river Thames.
It's a predominantly quiet, residential area with an interesting architectural mix. There are some grand mid-19th Century white stucco houses and some more modern Grade II listed tower blocks.
With first class transport links to discover London and some great value accommodation options this is London's number 1 place to start your trip.

Just steps from busy Victoria is this quiet little village with cute streets, winderful coffee shops and traditional pubs. The hotels are hidden and small and as a business traveller, I was happy to get this relaxed experience in a warm and homely environment but keeping near the busy parts of London.

A great place for dinner, if your staying in Pimlico and want an authentic Italian meal this is the place. Family owned, and a good local feel. Food was great!

We walked from Big Ben to Pimlico, steady stroll was well under an hour including stops to take photos . Interesting route with lots to see. However I wouldn’t want to do it unless the weather was good.

grazie Ari
