Top ways to experience Bond Street
The area
Neighborhood: Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
How to get there
  • Bond St • 1 min walk
  • Oxford Circus • 7 min walk

Bond Street has a very nice variety of shops. As Bond St is situated at the Western end of Oxford Street, I found it to be a little less crowded than the Oxford Circus area (albeit still busy on a hot afternoon), so the shopping experience was slightly more bearable.

If you are a fan of shopping, I would definitely recommend a visit to Bond Street.

Alexander McQueen Bond Street. Visited their new flagship store. Loved the clothes and third floor gallery. Didn’t like the new interior concept. Preferred the Old Bond a street store with it’s white marble interiors.

You can find so many high end stores along Bond Street. It is a nice experience just waking down the street .

As always, walking down Bond Street is a unique experience looking at beautiful window dsiplays by major luxury brands. This Christmas, my favourites are the stunning red display Cartier building & Dior's silver star - amid the huge "chandeliers" Xmas lights along Bond Street. Ralph Polo Lauren store nearby is another tourist attraction with al-fresco coffee tables - worth visiting for the luxury of people-watching on Bond Street while sipping a latte or hot chocolate on the pavement of London's fashion hotspot.

A incredibly expensive shopping street but a must see to people watch. To see the luxury in the shop windows , the expensive cars delivering customers and dreaming of purchases makes this a must visit location

If I can just put experience rate as 0, I definitely would. I went to Tiffany & Co this afternoon and I have never felt so small and discriminated by one member of staff that was supposed to assist me. First of, the man looked at me up and down and asked what I’m looking for but I let if off then I asked to see some bracelet and the man serving me was acting as if they don’t sell it in T&c so I had to show a Picture of the item and he said it was not in the store so I asked if there’s anything similar that I can choose from and he immediately said no. I then asked for the earring that I’m also looking to buy and he also said that it is not in the store and again I asked if there’s anything similar and he immediately said no again. The customer service was absolutely disgusting and I regret not calling the manager for such manner. It left me to go out of the store and cry out of anger.

A shop with men's coats costing £8,000 (yes, eight thousand) while a filthy homeless man lay on the pavement outside. Sums up all that is wrong with twenty first century Britain.

Bond Street is in Mayfair which is quite an exclusive area of Central London. It starts on Oxford Street and there is a Tube station located here which is served by the Central line and Jubilee Line. There are also plenty of buses running along Oxford Street to get here.

Walking down Bond Street there are plenty of exclusive designer clothing shops and the whole area has a swanky feel

We work very hard. We have dreamt this for decades. I was so anxious the experience would be everything Annie and I ever expected. It was an anniversary purchase and it had to be perfect.

It was.

The Patek Phillipe experience on Bond Street is humbling in its brilliance.

Anna, the captain of the day, the wonderful flowers and the look on Annies face as she chose. Enough to make a grown man cry but we don't do that right?

Thank you Anna. A truly memorable experience. Your patience and professionalism is a credit to Patek Phillipe, they're very lucky to have such a cool front facing manager.
