What a lovely residence. Glad we took this tour, tried to 2 years ago and it was closed. It's an 18th century residence that you can tour and it can also be hired for private events like a wedding (Rupert Murdoch and Gerry Hall did)....More

Only open on Sunday's ten months of the year - but no need to book. A veritable palace gem with fabulous rooms and very knowledgeable guide. Worth the £10/12 entry

Though once owned by the family of Princess Diana, this is now a showplace and event space. Still, if you like elegant decor, the tour was the way to go. Only open one day a week, Sunday, it's important to plan ahead.
