Tucked away in the corner of Hyde Park is this wonderful park, which is fenced off and felt very secure. Lovely clean park with plenty of activities for the kids. Huge pirate ship which was unfortunately closed while we visited but an immense wooden climbing frame, slides, sand pit, tunnel, wigwams and musical tubes meant our kids had a good hour here burning off some excess energy. Seating area and a good few shady spots when it’s very hot. Toilets available inside too. Worth a visit with children.

We walked to this park with 2 of our grandchildren, 5 and 7, following a visit to the Natural history museum. The playground is in hyde park and both our grandchildren had a fabulous time, they didn't want to go home. Big pirate ship in middle of sandy area and lots of different areas to explore. Toilets, water drinking fountain and I think a cafe although we had taken a picnic. Would recommend taking buckets, spades etc and maybe swimming costumes if weather warm.

Really lovely playground with water areas and also a more shaded trail of musical instruments to try out. My kids aged 5 and 10 enjoyed the pirate ship and my younger one loved the traditional playground aspects too. Controlled, gated entry (but no need to book) to ensure no adults enter without children and I assume to monitor numbers but it wasn’t too busy when we visited on a sunny Friday. Lots of sand!

Very easy to get to, just over the road from Queensway on the Central line. Good security, only letting in adults with children. Gasps of excitement from my kids as we went through the little path to reveal a beach and a big pirate ship! Hundreds of kids living their best life, lots of benches, boat shaped seating areas for the grown ups. Our travel schedule only allowed 45 minutes but we could have happily spent hours here. Sandwich shop at the gates if you forget your picnic. Just lovely.

Our kids loved the playground(s). It's a large area with many sections to play in. A couple of things to note... as with many London playgrounds we played in, there was a lot of sandy areas for the kids to play in. So, be prepared for dealing with a sandy child afterwards. This one also had a water area in the sand, so our kids ended up with a wet sand mess all over them.
The other aspect of this playground which kids may love is the multiple zones/areas that they could play in. However it's a nightmare for parents because the kids quickly go out of sight. This may be ok for kids that are a little more older and responsible, but our 4 year-olds quickly went in opposite directions and that can be scary for a travelling parent.
There was staff on site with yellow vests which was nice to know that they had extra support in case our kids did get lost, scared, or hurt. But, I much prefer a playground where I can look up and see my kids without having to constantly be on the move following them around.

We spent a lovely hour in this playground with my 5 year old daughter. Huge pirate ship surrounded by a sand pit, adventure playground area and lots to find around the edges of the playground if you go exploring. Great security (adults only allowed in if with a child and kids can’t just walk out on their own as the gate is secure). Coffee and ice cream shop on site too. Lovely!

Don't think you can just pop along for the kids to let a bit of steam off. The queue was immense when we tried to get in, and getting longer by the minute. Seems to be OK on the inside, but mainly for very small kids, not much for our 8 and 10 year olds.
Central London needs a decent public adventure playground for older children.

Probably the best playground we’ve visited, with such a variety of play structures to keep the kids entertained for hours. We couldn’t get the kids to leave even after 2-3 hours in the rain. Particular favorites were the galleon, a musical area, and the elevated walkway/fort. We really loved how the playground was integrated into the landscape rather than the plastic monstrosities we have at home. There’s also a coffeeshop and concession stand on-site as well as a very clean restroom facility.

For families only. If you don't have children you can't enter! Very safe, cared for, beautiful and fun. It has opening and closing times, but you can easily wait in the adjacent bar! There is a security service that manages access (fence and gate) and an infirmary next to the bathrooms. For the rest...sand almost everywhere (which immediately washes away from your clothes!!) and barefoot children playing happily with the galleon and the other games. There were places like this!!!!

What a fantastic playground! I was very impressed to see that parents and children had to go in together. The bathroom facilities were great. My kids enjoyed playing on the pirate ship! Never on a previous trip to London would I have sought out a playground, but with kids, traveling is always different. I'm so thankful for quite areas in busy cities for the littles to get their energy out and have fun!
