Maida Vale is an area in London. The main road that runs though the area is the A5 from Marble Arch ultimately to North Wales. The road is named Maida Vale as it goes through the area and then becomes Kilburn High Road as it enters Kilburn.
There are two Tube stations in the area - Maida Vale and Warwick Avenue, both on the Bakerloo Line.
Walking through Maida Vale there are a huge number of flats, many in very fancy buildings.
The Regents Canal also goes through Maida Vale to Little Venice which is nice to walk beside.

I stayed on Randolph Ave, for a week. The neighbourhood is less busy with Less noise. It is a 11 minutes’ walk from St Johns Wood station. Maida Vale is a safe place & it is residential in nature. Maida Vale is located in the Borough of Westminster, Zone 2 with a postcode is W9. The two main pull factors of Maida Vale are the location and the canal. Maida Vale is charming and understated.

I stayed at the London Marriott Maida Vale while on business. I absolutely loved this neighborhood. There were plenty of markets with reasonably priced fresh produce. A variety of restaurants and has very easy access to the bus and/or train. This neighborhood is about 1 mile away from the center of London which is good because your close but not too close to all the tourist. I would definitely stay at an AirBnB in the neighborhood or return back to the Marriott on my next visit.

The location of Maida Vale was close enough to central London it was easy to get to for tourist stuff, but far enough away you didn't get the noise and price of London. Lovely little high street with restaurants bars and shops

We had the opportunity to stay in this lovely neighborhood on a recent trip to London. To be honest, when I first found out we were staying here (accommodations arranged by a friend who lives in England), I was a little disappointed that we weren't staying in a more central location. Well, shame on me! This area was absolutely perfect! There are plenty of good restaurants, pubs, cafes, wine bars all in walking distance (we stayed on Lauderdale Road), and the Maida Vale tube station is your key to getting anywhere you need to be in the city. We walked everywhere, both during the day and in the evenings, and felt totally safe. I loved being out of the touristy sections of the city and feeling (even just a little bit) like a local.

Maida Vale is a nice area north of Paddington and west of St Johns Wood. It has some very lovely areas and houses the very pretty area called Little Venice. Safe & residential, there are more and more restaurants and cafes opening up in the neighbourhood - Clifton Road area for example. Nice to take a walk in and to have a meal (The Waterway, Raoul's & HSING restaurants etc...). Good transport links with the Maida Vale and Warrick Avenue tube stations close by as well as good bus coverage. Well recommended.

Lots of discount shopping, EASY access to public transportation. Streets were rowdy into the wee hours of the morning. Was okay being part of a couple, but would hesitate to stay or visit there as a single woman, or even two women. Okay as part of a crowd. Highlight was Italian Restaurant, Luna Rossa, on Kilburn High Road, across from a lovely Starbucks. More than accommodating management, and excellent food & wine at a reasonable price.

I stayed at the Marriott Maida Vale and loved it. You are walking distance from a laundry, the tube, three bus lines and most importantly a Tesco and Starbucks.

Stayed in B&B apartment at Maida Avenue. One of the best places to live in London in spite of being so close to centre

Looking to potentially move to this area, is it quite a quiet area? I noticed it’s not too far from north Kensington and Ladbroke Grove which is supposedly not the best area .. any advice greatly received
Is Maida Vale part of the London marathon route?
