Bar Rumba is a late night club by Leicester Square which shows no restrain when it comes to a fun night out of dancing and drinking in the West End. The commercial music, chart hits, RnB and pop is the engine of this wild and crazy club but the generous happy hours and drinks promotions do their bit to fuel the spirits. There is also a comedy club side to Bar Rumba, especially on Friday and Saturdays.

It's a decent place

Went there for a comedy night. Which was excellent. drinks were pricey tho. Security tight required ID. Afterwards it turns into a club. Can become like a sweat box. Music good.

We went here for a night out on a very rare night off, we almost didn't even make it in the door as the doormen were really rude first saying I was drunk when I don't drink and the saying I needed to go in with a girl lol, but lucky one of the other doormen recognised me from another... More

We went as part of a bar crawl. When we arrived at the club, all of the guys 5 out of 10 people in our group were told that they were "tipsy and wouldn't be allowed to enter" At the time none of us were intoxicated as we had take time out of the crawl as one person was feeling... More

I booked tickets to this place with one of my friend last month and was refused entry because we did not have girls. Called and asked for refund but they still not got back to me. Got a text two weeks ago to say me and a friend can come for free. Turned up at 23;30 just to get told... More

We were a group of 6 visiting London and went to Rumba on Saturday night after some friends recommended the place to us. We couldn’t find the place at first but eventually found it. For info, the club is on Shaftsbury Ave opposite the Lyric Theatre where they are showing Thriller LIVE. We got there early (about 9:30pm) to avoid... More

I was here with a group of friends on a Saturday night. We were on the guest list so it was free entry before 11 (I believe it is £10 otherwise). I liked the music which was modern pop songs. However, it's in a basement so there's pretty much no air - it could definitely do with some stronger air... More

Bar was fairly typical of central london bar/club - over priced drinks, expensive entry (£10pp), but music was standard 90's songs until staff split drink over wife and myself - while bad enough on our own, bar staff then aggressively approached us to leave, followed by bouncers. AWFUL. We have lived in london for over 10 years and this is... More

This place isnt what I expected, we went to the Comedy Club that was in here, which was over all good, but you would think the location and the prices you pay for drinks it would be a lot better and nicer than it was. Whilst we were in the comedy club, you were only allowed to get drinks on... More

It is absolutely terrible, never go there. I was ripped off lastnight. They charge 10 GBP to enter and then they give you a shot of sambucca. (a shot is like taking medicine syrup from the bottle cap - that small). From inside the place is not happening, DJ was so boring and the crowd already know by now that... More

The music is so cool, the location is perfect, and for being in Picadilly the prizes are more than reasonable. I would definetly recommend to go out there if you are in central London.

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
