This is my first time back since the refurbishment and wow it gives a modern touch to this wonderful museum.

We were staying at a nearby hotel so found by accident just a short walk away. Amazing displays and very interesting. Lovely to see school children enjoying their visit. Surprised that it was free entry.

Holocaust exhibit was impressive with some quite good interactive displays and tries to give a feeling of being immersed in this time period. Jewish, I haven't visited. It's also probably a matter of whether you prefer to focus on ww2 and the deportations of many ethnic groups, or have a broader perspective at the Jewish population only.
If you want to see all of it, budget about 4+ hours.
But you can finish faster if you are selective about what you see. There are floor plans everywhere, or look at their website, as that can help you plan.
