The only reason this tour is poor is due to the narrow streets and amount of traffic. For those reasons it took FOREVER to get to your next stop.(We used the big bus tour in Paris and it was perfect) As for London we found...More
My husband and I bought a 2 day ticket, but we bought from a stand near Westminster abbey because we thought a stop was near by but we had quite a walk and on new year day they didn’t have enough buses on and the...More
We got a two day bus tour ticket and today was day 1. We took the red tour and we really enjoyed it. Nobby the tour guide was great, funny and full of information. Really enjoyable experience....well done Big Bus Tours!!
I will be honest. I have through the years only gone on this type of bus maybe 3 or 4 times before. So I am not a expert in this type of service. But this can not be ok.
Busses are not coming in the...More
I was on a quick trip to London for work and had a morning off before getting back to reality, and picked this bus up at the Tower of London stop and did the red route around back to the Tower of London stop; if...More
The tour itself was fantastic - the bus drivers are skillful and amazing where they can squeeze their busses. We had both live commentary and audio commentary. The commentators were incredibly knowledgeable and ours had quite a sense of humour.

Great way to see a great city. A special 5+ stars to Nick who is an excellent historian. We intended on riding the red route for only a few stops, however due to Nicks superior knowledge and story telling we stayed on the entire tour...More
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw
away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
London Pass? Big Bus Tours? Please help! (6 Replies)
I will be visiting London for a weekend in September. I haven't been for donkeys years, and in 2 days would like to see as much as possible. ( yes, I know it's not long enough! ;-)) Could you please advise me on which attractions I should make sure I see. I have been looking at the London Pass. Do you think it is worth the money for just 1 or 2 days? I am concerned that to get my moneys worth I will have to visit a lot of attractions each day. Is it really possible to do so at this time of...More

I am not a fan of the London Pass, but some people seem to make it worth for them. I'd have thought that for a short visit there would be less chance of getting value from it, as I'm sure there will be things that you want to do that don't cost anything at all, or aren't covered by the Pass. I recommend you avoid the Pass and the bus tour and instead pay as you go and use the public buses to travel between the places you want to go to. I think that the biggest danger from the Pass is...More
Need to clarify last pickup for Big Bus Tours (14 Replies)
I was originally planning on taking the Big Bus tour starting my first full day (Sunday), but now I'm thinking about catching it mid-afternoon on the day I arrive. I arrive at 11:00 a.m. and I think by the time I get checked into my hotel it's going to be around 2:00 p.m. I'm thinking about boarding the bus mid-afternoon to begin my orientation to London by making the full loop on the blue tour. The Big Bus schedule indicates that in September the last bus is 1800. Does that mean the last bus...More

The HOHO bus companies don't need to discount in a big way but a Google search seems to indicate that you might be able to save up to 25% by booking online.
