Everything you want and need to buy and more. Unusual items and so many stalls, so many different food outlets. A great place to visit and very busy.

Not what i expected, lots of overpriced shop units, where is all the street traders, market stalls and the "Cockney banter"?.
Nevertheless an enjoyable day out, sampling the different street food ,mingling with the many different cultures and the colourful fashions and displays throughout the market.Camden Town with its rows of unusal shop fronts and busy pubs is so different from the normal so dont just visit the market.

The Great Fall of Camden Market & Those Awful Outdated Pods...
Sep 2021
It's been a long time since I visited Camden Market. This has been a regular place I have visited as a Londoner for over 20 years.

What was once a vibrant market full of individual designers selling unusual stuff. Has now been taken over by those in charge of the local area. Thinking that putting naff pods in the market is cool. It isn't!. There is no excuse thinking this is about covid safety. As you can still walk inside with hundreds of people crammed into the market place. There are other ways to do outdoor structures. Which is far more interesting than a straight line. With no thought or imagination.

Whoever signed this off - clearly does not understand about visual impact. Where are all the lovely market stalls?. The very essence of Camden Market. The bohemian and creative. Selling crafts of their own. What a great shame that greed has taken over to make this place like all other cities. The soul has been ripped out. We have seen the pods and shipping containers before. There is nothing new here. I do understand that we need to move forward with innovation. I am not saying we need to stand still. We want to develop and create new and exciting ideas for the future. This is not it though!.

It's a sad day when small business's are crushed and cannot survive with a corporate like a big sports chain taking over in the old stables. This would of been unthinkable years ago.

Whilst there is lots of food vans - also in a row. Which dominate the whole area. Along with countless tacky Jewellery stalls. Although a few are very good. There is not much going for this place anymore.

Goodbye Camden Market. Hopefully one day the very heart will return and develop into a style that is unique with all it's glory.

Superb place. Prefer to Covent Garden. Never been here before and walked along the canal to get here. Varied stalls. Plenty to see. Lots of places to eat and drink. Street food stalls are a bit in your face offering tastings but this is all part of the atmosphere. Would definitely go back for another look around and try other food places.

Lost it's soul
Aug 2021
Overrun with eating stalls and modernised to such an extent that it has lost it's soul as a 'street market'. It's now predominately full of under-cover booths with little evidence of the old 'open air' stalls. OK if that's what you're looking for but given the amount of under-cover shopping you might as well go to Milton Keynes!

Brilliant place definitely worth a visit. Lots of lovely street food to choose from who are quite forthcoming in offering samples to help you choose. Many stalls and shops selling all sorts. Very busy but a very relaxed feel to it. Short walk from the tube station.

Something a little different

10 minutes on the underground from the city centre is Camden Town and Market. The area is very Hip and Bohemian. Lots of street art (tasteful, not tags or graffiti). The market itself wasa good size with so many warrens and quirky stalls, sellers etc. It can be a pick pockets paradise given the narrow alleys and large crowds but other than that, the whole vibe is a relaxed one.

There is lots to see and a few eateries. CyberDog is worth a visit (you will know when you have found it) lol.

I am not sure what I expected but left feeling that I had "done" it but was not memorable. Don't think I would return but if you have a travel pass and a spare hour, get yourself along :)

Loved this place. Kids had a blast. We paced ourselves and ate as much as we could, from Mac n cheese stalls, fruit juices, churros, Chinese, Indian, pizza’s. There’s not a lot of places to sit though.
