The website makes the zoo look great, but don't get too excited like I did. It advertised walking through with lemurs, but there were none out. I would recommend visiting in the spring/summer as it was freezing walking around and most of the animals were all sleeping inside to keep warm. Penguin Beach was good and the talk was interesting.... More

Visited with my 8 yr old son who was so very excited to see all of the animals and we were planning on spending a good 3-4 hours here. However after an hour and half we had had enough! The gorillas were kept away from public view due to an outbreak of flu, as were some birds. 2 small tigers... More

Thank you for your visit to the Zoo. We house over 750 species of animals and these can be seen throughout the day. However, as we allow all of our animals to exhibit their natural behaviour, you may have to revisit enclosures throughout the day or take a while looking at each enclosure to spot the animal. We have advertised... More

We went on a freezing cold and snowing day in February. At first we thought we wouldn't be able to see any animals because it was so cold but most of the exhibits have indoor sections where you can still see them. You can walk inside to where monkeys and sloths are and there's literally no glass between you and... More

The zoo itself is slightly dated - exhibitions haven't changed much over the years. That said, the children enjoyed themselves, especially the butterflies. The staff on site were friendly and always answered the children's questions readily. The reason for not giving it more stars, was the price. Very expensive family day out. However, it's one of those places where you... More

My husband took part in Trainer for a Day program at the zoo and absolutely was blown away. Nick, the trainer, was knowledgeable and personable. My husband learned about the diets for the animals, fed different ones, and thoroughly enjoyed his full day being a " trainer".

Lots of the exhibits were empty. Very few birds on display due to Avian flu fears. Everything very shabby and needs a good coat of paint! Disappointing as it cost over £60 to get in! No Elephant or Cheetah. Website didn't give any details of parking (my wife is disabled so knowing there was a car park close by would... More

In the summer of 2016 my wife, daughter (16 months at the time) and I visited London Zoo. To start this review off I should say our daughter really enjoyed the animal enclosures that were smaller and therefore its inhabitants far easier to see. Even at her young age she has really taken to animals of all kinds but where... More

Some say we shouldn't have zoos anymore but I think things are so strict now that there aren't as many species as there were many years ago. The zoo is huge so there is plenty of room for the animals to run around in. There is something for everyone and they all look in great condition so are obviously well... More
