If this is London's premier zoo I hope there are no other's. The old indoor enclosure for Tapirs is, to my mind nothing like their natural habitat. I felt very sad for the animals and the gorilla enclosure is the saddest. I don't know why we aren't observing animals using hides and viewing slits so our presence remains as unobtrusive... More

We went on a sunny but cold January day. This meant there were no queues and we walked straight in. The downside was that it was too cold for many of the animals and a lot were hiding or indoors asleep. There were still lots to see although some popular species such as elephants, pandas and orangutans are not present... More

Went to the zoo in January and was a bit hesitant in case it was too cold to see anything but the sun came out and so did the animals. i think we managed to see most of them. The aquarium is fab, there was loads of species i had never heard of our seen before. The reptile house was... More

Situated at the north end of Regent's Park, the London Zoo is a classic, historic place filled with a great mix of creatures from giraffe to lions to butterflies to penguins to small children in strollers. The great things about the London Zoo is that is looks forward, with new exhibits and enclosures, but also preserves its original features dating... More

Despite visiting the zoo on what we considered a cold day, a lot of the animals were out and about, though the female pygmy hippopotamus was happy to stay inside in her heated pool while the male went out and had a meal. We walked for 4 hours without realising the time and pretty well saw all we wanted to... More

ZSL London Zoo has got to be one of the best zoos i have visited. There is a large variety of animals and both their Rainforest and Noctornal exhibits are fantastic. The entrance price is good for the amount of animals there. Many of the exibits are excellent with their design and enrichment. If in London, their Zoo is a... More

I went finally to the London zoo being super excited , was expecting it to be terrific and interesting , heck London Zoo is know all around but apart from the fact that it was quite empty the animals there did not seem to be fine at all , the giraffes were the saddest thing I've ever seen , the... Thank you for your feedback regarding ZSL London Zoo. We house over 750 species of animals and these can be seen throughout the day. However, as we allow all of our animals to exhibit their natural behaviour, you may have to revisit enclosures throughout the day or take a while looking at each enclosure to spot the animal. We have... More

We went in early January and in the beginning were a little disappointed at how many habitats were empty. But later on after a terrific display by the lions, the super cool penguin basin, the indoor creatures of the night exhibit and the lizards and snakes, we were exhausted and happy to have seen many animals we had not seen... My expectation was for a stunning zoo, whilst the exhibits were interesting the zoo itself does feel a little tired Good central location, is a little walk from public transport (tube) but on a good day this is pleasant and nice to see the greenery in the centre of London My wife loved the shop and purchased several items to...
