- fchehuBangor, France35 contributionsScandalously expensive, but popular with childrenIn order to save ourselves an hour in line (at the end of the day) we paid even more for our tickets. In view of this umpteenth London queue, we appreciated this luxury. Unfortunately, we had to lug our coats and bags because once inside, we were informed that the changing room was outside (before the queue in the rain 🙄). What followed was a wander in the dark (like in all modern museums designed for vampires) behind our children who were running from room to room. In front of the king (Charles III) or Queen Elizabeth II, photographers take your picture. Unfortunately the images, poorly lit with flash, are as flat as they are mediocre. You will do better by doubling the photo with your iPhone… In addition to showbiz stars, the museum presents fictional characters, like Shrek... A little strange... Overall, the children were delighted with this visit which cost us an arm and a leg…Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review on Trip Advisor. We appreciate you taking the time and trouble to share your thoughts as we always consider any feedback that helps us to improve the service we provide for our guests. - Freyja B. HaustreisKristiansand, Norway91 contributionsFun for all ages! Recommend a visitWe were a group of five, three adults and two teenagers, ages between 15-67 years and everyone had an amazing time! I have an autistic 16 year old and he had a sensory overloads midway through, so we asked an employee if they had a quiet room he could rest in for a few minutes, and the response was exemplary! They had a quiet room he was able to rest in, they brought him water and the service was just so great. I’m so grateful for their help and how they handled the situation. After ten minutes we were able to continue our journey through the museum and everyone was happy, the staff told us if there was anything we needed we should just let them know. This was a really positive experience. The museum is huge and the Marvel and Star Wars section was our favorites. Absolutely worth a visit!Hello! We are delighted to read that you had a truly fabulous experience at our world-famous attraction! It's so lovely to read that you had such a good experience with our team, and that they were able to assist you and your son. - Clauz79435 contributionsAlways beautiful! We returned to Madame Tussauds ten years after the first visit and, although many statues remained the same, we found renovated environments and new attractions, some of which were very beautiful, such as the "dark ride" on the little trains. Characters reproduced very well as always, with some that are almost scary due to how realistic they are! In general it is certainly a nice place to visit for adults and children, even if perhaps the ticket price remains a little high compared to what is offered (it costs practically the same as an entrance to Gardaland or similar).Hello, It is always a pleasure to receive such a glowing review of our attraction, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are sorry that you didn't think the value for money of our tickets was quite as good as it could've been. We are proud of our unique figures, and we do try to offer affordable ways to experience them. We will pass this feedback on to our team for you. - radhakrishnan2018Glasgow, United Kingdom40 contributionsHyped expectations and exorbitant entrance fee but great disappointment. This place is supposed to be a must visit for any visitor to London, but was a great disappointment. The entrance is 45 GBP per person which itself is a waste of money. The displays are few and they have removed a number of historically important and famous persons. They have few Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities but nothing else. Only consolation was there was no waiting in the que to enter and there were very few visitors. I am sure the visitor number will go down further unless they improve exhibition and make the entrance fee reasonable especially in this hard times.Hello, Thank you for taking the time and trouble to leave this review of our attraction. We are glad to read that you did not have to wait to long to get into our After Party. We are however sorry to read that you were unhappy you did not see all the stars you were expecting and that you did not think our attraction was very good value for money. We currently have over 100 figures at our attraction, spread across 6 floors, as well as our Marvel 4D film, Chamber of Horrors, Spirit of London ride, and a number of interactive sets. We are sorry that this was not what you had expected. Our line-up of figures is constantly changing, and we welcome all feedback we can get on the changes that we make, as we seek to reflect the interests of our guests and the wider public. - Amelie TOslo, Norway9 contributionsGreat concept, too loud music and crowded.Book a day ahead, you will save money! About the tour itself, unfortunately it was very crowded and a lot of loud music throughout the tour. Since you buy a ticket for a timeslot, I was hoping it would limit the amount of people. It did not. The constant loud music did not help either. This created queues and chaos, I lost my family several time and we ended up brushing off the rest of the tour to get away. A pity since the museum itself is really worth it. Also, some people were not named and so we had no idea who they were. It was still worth going there, but be warned: it's loud and crowded.Hello, Thank you for taking the time and trouble to leave this review of our attraction. We are sorry to read that the crowds impacted your experience. While we do manage our capacity using our timeslot system, we appreciate there can sometimes be a lot of people visiting at the same time, especially on busy periods such as school holidays and weekends. We are also sorry that the attraction was louder than you expected, and that you did not know who all our stars were. While we do have name plaques for all our figures, we appreciate that some may not be as visible as others, and we will take this feedback onboard so that we can continue to improve in the future. We will pass on your thoughts to our team. We are delighted you still had a great time, as we would really love to have the chance to welcome you on our red carpet again in the future! - AndréaneParis, France548 contributionsGood but too many peopleThe museum is very nice to make the statues are quite realistic and it is quite impressive. The only downside is that there were a lot of people and sometimes it was quite oppressive and difficult to get around. It’s good to do but the ticket price is still quite high. The seated attraction is really the most of the museum with obviously statues with the image of the royal family.Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review on Trip Advisor. The Madame Tussauds London was my first experience in any wax sculpture museum.
I liked the themed zones of the wax sculptures but could've done without the experiences, here are some FYI's: The Chamber of Horrors is age 16+, Spirit of London has a camera to look out for - I didn't notice it in time to get nice pictures a the end of the short ride, Marvel 4D is great for the kids and any fans of Marvel Universe if you're short on time you won't be missing out on much.
For tickets, my family of 3 (2 adult, 1 teen child) got the Pose & Post. We purchased the tickets via QR codes posted outside the lines. There weren't any lines when we went on Sunday afternoon for a 2:00 entry time. Since tickets are pricey I wouldn't recommend buying the Ultimate VIP because it only gives you a Fast Track to get in and skip the line - once inside there aren't any lines to skip as anyone can go anywhere it doesn't work to get you anything special! Also, I noticed we purchased the guidebook online for 5 British Pounds but the gift shop sells them for 4 - and its more like a pamphlet and IMO not worth the expense.
I found the gift shop underwhelming.
The employees from start to finish were all courteous and professional.
This is an expensive attraction.
All in all, a one and done experience but if I had to do it again, I would get the standard ticket. Unless you want keepsake photos which are taken in the entry, w/ Harry Styles, the Royal Family (QE and PP) & (KCIII, QC, WPOW & KPOW) these are available in keepsake photo packages for separate purchase.

Pleasantly surprised by this one ❤️ frankly having done the one in Paris, Amsterdam and Barcelona...the one in London is way above. It is true that it is more expensive but there are off-peak tickets which are worth it. I really recommend this activity in London even with children (except the horror part perhaps)

Manual wheelchair tour
The whole museum is accessible.
Lifts exclusively reserved for people with reduced mobility and accompanying persons are hidden on all floors. The elevators are not visible during the visit.
A person has been appointed to look after us throughout our visit. This person did not stay with us but was our point of contact throughout our presence there.
The museum is spread over several floors. Suitable toilets are present on almost every floor of what we have seen.
The museum guide brought us to all floors as the tour progressed. She left us alone at each step so that we could enjoy as much time as we wanted with the wax statues.
The museum is very well done, with many wax statues that are almost always staged. We were pleasantly surprised because despite the world, the spaces are airy and, with a few exceptions, it is really possible to move around the elements without too much embarrassment.
At the end of each floor, there is a small red button to press to inform the guide that we had completed the tour. He joined us each time on the spot in order to head to an elevator and the other floors to visit.
In the Marvel part, one has a grand staircase to climb half a floor. There is a lift platform rather than an elevator. The principle is always the same: press the red button and the guide sets up the platform to climb with the chair.
A 4D show is planned in the Marvel part always. It is possible to either stay in the wheelchair or make a transfer to a cinema seat. Be careful that the seats are tilted rearward for transfer.
The end of the tour ends with an emergency exit door. However, it is also possible to go to the souvenir shop on request.
We made the visit in about an hour and a half (including Marvel show), taking our time but without taking a photo. The time can be greatly extended if you consider taking photos or looking in detail at all the animations offered in the stagings.
In short, we found the tour to be nice, well thought out, accessible and we recommend it.

Madam Tussauds is overrated. The tickets are fare too expensive, it is crowded and noisy, as the music is too loud. You can barely see anything either, as all the wax figures have dense crouds arround them.
It was so much better when I visited in the 90's, then you could visit the galleries in a relaxed manner, and there were much more interesting figures. Now I didn't even see any name signs for many of the figures, and I just have no idea who the popstars of today are.
Do skip this attraction, save your money, and go to a free museum instead. I'm sad that I wasted money and my limited time in London on this.
I have visited MT in Amsterdam recently, that is a much better experience, with tolerable noice levels, marked figures, and it doesn't feel crowded.

Visited Madame Tussauds today with my twin boys age 13. Firstly, we had a time slot which was 15 mins - we queued only for about 6 mins in all (which was great as I remember 15 years ago when I went the queue was so long - well over an hour).
The vast majority of the statues were fantastic and so life like. We took lots of photos and had such fun. The short train journey going back in history was a nice surprice - and the 4D 10 min adventure film at the end (which you do pay an extra £5 for) was excellent and made us all laugh! You need around 2hours there altogether. Altogether a really good fun experience.

I was a little apprehensive going in as I had heard horrible stories of people who had already visited. It is true that the tickets are very expensive and since we wanted to cut the line, we also bought the even more expensive one, which meant we got to enter straight in.
The exhibition was great with some really realistic wax figures where other were not so true to reality. I struggled to recognize some figures but I attributed that to my lesser knowledge of English entertainment culture, which was fine.
We got to take pictures with almost all of the figures, the exhibition was not that crowded and everyone was kind and respectful. The car tour was a pleasant surprise, alongside with the 4d cinema.
All in all, it was a great experience and my little one loved it. We were very lucky with the whole experience and for that I would recommend going in August.

Was here with our two teenagers 27th of December. It was a long queue to get in, and completely packed inside! Not possible to get a view on anything because of all the people, queue around nearly all the figures just to get a picture... We adults have been here once before, then there were fewer people they let in. Our kids were frustrated and bored after just 5 minutes, and thought it was a waste of money. So do we, would not recommend you spend either your money or time here while visiting London.

I visited Madame Tussaud’s 14 years ago and this time I had my two daughters to take with me and I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable our trip was. We went for my daughters 12th birthday, booked a birthday VIP package which I would recommend (good value for money). I really enjoyed the cinema experience and the girls will treasure their hand wax for years to come. It’s well worth buying the preservation kit to make the hand more solid. My only disappointment was that it took over an hour to get the hand wax done as one of the families in front of us had their hand done three times as they kept moving their hand during the process and it kept cracking the wax. The staff were very patient and kept helping the family but it was delayed us for quite a while in the queue. The queuing area was quite small and a busy area. It would have been better to have some seating / something to occupy the children with whilst we were waiting.
There are plenty of toilets on your way around Madame Tussaud’s and the black taxi ride was a pleasant surprise which we all enjoyed as were the chocolate strawberry marshmallows available after the ride.
The tote bags available in the shop were very thin but I felt no other option but to buy one for my daughter to carry her Lego in that she decided to buy in the shop. At £4 each they were of disappointing quality.
Overall a really enjoyable day out and we spent four hours at the attraction.

You get what you pay for and that is exactly what we got/experienced.
We also got another ticket to do the marvel experience and that was perfect as the family loves Marvel, would recommend this as an add on if it is still available.
We booked durning the easter holidays so that might have been why it was extremely busy in the morning. We found some walk ways such as the bates motel area very crowded to walk through/down more so when people stopped on the stairs to take pictures.
While there were some exhibitions where all members of our family didn't know we still enjoyed ourselves fully. We had a wonderful time and while we may not all be back again we will definitely be bringing younger members of our family along in the future.

I recommend booking in advance to avoid long queues.
Too many people "crowded" to take photos with the various characters. The space dedicated to Marvel with 4D cinema included is very nice.
The route aboard the cabs is also very nice. Overall we had fun. Entrance price a little high.

Good evening all,
Just wondered if there’s somewhere we can leave our luggage as we will be coming straight from the train and will have a couple of small cases. Thanks.
Written August 21, 2023
I don’t think there is. Bags are searched on the way in though and anything considered not ok ( we’d just bought a drone from Hamley’s that was considered contraband) gets taken and stored by the security team to be collected at the end of your visit. There’s a ride in the middle of the exhibition where any bags need to be stowed between your legs, the smaller the better I guess, we had rucksacks and were fine

Planning to visit in August, appreciate it will be busy, but what's the quietest time of day to visit? Was thinking more towards the end of the day?
Written June 23, 2023
Madame Tussauds does get busy most of the day but why don't you email them and see if they have any quiet times available?

Acquistando il biglietto online con un orario prefissato c’è comunque da fare la fila? Non capisco bene che differenza c’è con il biglietto fast track? Qualcuno mi sa aiutare? Grazieeeee
Written May 2, 2023
Sorry I don’t speak Italian but if o read your question correctly you’re asking if fast track is any good and is it worth it…. If this is the case. Yes it definitely is the queues are really long most of the time and you can wait for a long time. We walked straight in and early that out booked time which was great
