Went on this trip with friends who were visiting from Australia. You can pay for the trip using an oyster card, which saves you about £5 per person. We travelled from Westminster to Greenwich. The trip was great, staff friendly and they deserved the tip that we gave them at the end. My only criticism was that the guides had... More

Beautiful scenery. The staff are extremely funny and informative. A great way to spend some time and see London

It was our good fortune that we had picked the hottest September day since 1911 to make this journey from Westminster to Kew; our good fortune too that we turned up and got seated about ten minutes before the boat left. This was a side of London I had not seen before and it was made all the better for... More

The correct name is 'Thames River Boats', as on the website. I have therefore requested TA correct this from 'Thames Riverboats' which is hugely misleading as it could refer to any boat plying the river. The company operates cruises between Westminster Pier And Hampton Court via Kew and Richmond and information on dates and times of sailings are available on... More

We visited Kew Gardens from Westminster Pier. Lovely trip down the river with good views of London from the Thames. Boat 'Cockney Sparrow' has seen better days and an excellent commentary on the passing points of interest was spoiled by a poor PA system, which meant we couldn't pick up all that was said. A one way trip was plenty... More

Some of the reviews relate to a different company, so do not be put off. This is a service from Westminster to Hampton Court Palace, which takes 3 hours. The staff are brilliant, helping my wife who has a disability on and off without having to ask. When first trying to book this for her birthday, I was a bit... More

Very mixed experience. Wish I had known you could take the train and get to Hampton Court with enough time to truly enjoy the Palace rooms. As it was I was sold an adult round trip ticket while I qualified for a senior rate. The boat was departing in 4 minutes so barely had time to walk the pier and... More

We took a riverboat from Hampton Court to Westminster on a hot afternoon in July. It was a great way to finish our day out to Hampton Court. The journey took about 3 hours. We enjoyed the changing scenery, the bridges, the locks and travelling along the course of the Boat Race.

Cruising the Thames in October takes stamina--if you want to sit up top. (There is an indoor area.) It was quite chilly but doable . Make sure that you have gloves, coat and hat. I have taken the cruise in summer and it was a great way to cool off since there is a breeze. You can see many of... More

We had friends over from America and they wanted to visit the Thames Barrier, so we took the trip down on the boat. The boats are quite basic and, on the day we were there in late June, the bar was not open so no food or drink was available. The commentary was good and contained some light humour, which... More
