Gavin was a fabulous tour guide. We only had a limited amount of time to spend at the British Museum, and he was able to show us the highlights in a very expedient fashion while still keeping it interesting for us and the kids (ages 11 and 14). I would highly recommend him for tours, and if we go back to London anytime soon, we will definitely be asking him for a second tour.

The British Museum can be intimidating because of the size of its collection and the number of visitors. But Gavin efficiently showed us not only the "highlights" of the Museum, but other important pieces as well. He also helped connect the dots in a chronological journey through the collections. He is both knowledgeable and personable and made the museum come alive for our family. 10/10

Gavin has an exceptional amount of interesting knowlegde about the history, architecture and social context of everything we saw on our tour of the City of London. We were delighted to discover places we hadn't known about despite living our whole lives in London!
Everything was related in a fast pace an amusing manner and none of our questions phased him. Several of us had been on his previous tours which is why his tour was chosen (as a birthday gift for us by friends) - needless to say he did not dissapoint - very highly reccommended!

Enjoyed a 2 hour tour of Covent Garden with Gavin today passing through Theatreland. Such a wealth of knowledge and interest, confirmed things I had already suspected and a wealth of things such as the origin of phrases such as "box office". We were taken through the origins of London Theatre until its present day format. Discovered unique places and actually had time to consider those things which simply pass by.

Gavin offered an outstanding walking tour of Mayfair, filled with facts and stories about the area's rich social and architectural history. The tour was engaging, informative, and very well-structured, with a break for coffee and conversation in the middle. Gavin comes highly recommended, and we will definitely be booking other tours in the future.

Cabin was absolutely wonderful. Aside from knowing the museum thoroughly and taking us exactly where we needed to go. He had a comprehensive history and made wonderful connections with history and the artifacts. We had a wonderful time and everyone in our party that ranged in age from age 15 to 84 thoroughly enjoyed it. He was wonderful and we will definitely recommend and look to book him again if we come back. Our only regret is that we didn’t get to spend the whole day with him. He made what can be an overwhelming museum, manageable, and impactful!!!

Whenever anyone has asked me what the highlight of my trip to London was, my immediate answer has been our tour with Gavin.
My sister and I thought that an architectural tour would be a great way to give us an introduction to London. There is nothing like getting a guide who really knows what they are talking about, and who are also passionate about their subject. We loved all the extra points of interest that he mentioned, and his sense of humor. It was not just a tour on architecture ...it was history, art, and culture.
It has taken me over a month to write this review (sorry Gavin!) because I've just been trying to think of the best way to give credit to how much we loved this experience...
The time we had with him flew by, and I can't stress enough how much I look forward to another expertly guided tour with Gavin!

There is no better London guide than Gavin. Years ago, I coordinated London walks for an expat women's club here, and he was always a crowd favourite. When an American friend visited me recently, we booked Gavin to visit various sites. We spent a memorable afternoon viewing the highlights of the British Museum, as well as a wonderful day at Westminster Abbey followed by an exploration of Spitalfields. In each case, Gavin's breadth of knowledge, command of thousands and thousands of facts, and lively recounting of anecdotes were absolutely astonishing. His diary is always full, so make sure to contact him well in advance of any particular tour requirements you might have.

My husband and I enjoyed a tour with Gavin on the 10-year anniversary of the festival tour my youth choir and I were fortunate to take with Gavin. He gave us an insiders tour of the City of London. This included the colorful history of the area, an overview of the medieval and contemporary architecture, and passage through hidden alleys and quiet spaces we never would have found on our own. We are grateful to Gavin for a lovely day and highlight of our trip to London.

I met Gavin while we lived in London 3 years ago and we did regular art tours together. We would organize one per month (or so) and cover different types of art and areas. He was so knowledgeable and engaging. When we were visiting London this June my first thing to organize was a tour with Gavin!
We did a tour of the art galleries in St James and it was amazing. He took us around many of the art galleries and shops in the area and as usual wowed our group with his knowledge. He is very good at keeping the tour moving and always very engaging in answering questions. He is very organized and prepared for each tour and it shows during our time together. If I could only live in London again and see him monthly! He’s the best.
