If you’re interested in the world of espionage and London’s place in it, then you have to do this tour. Tour guide Brian’s knowledge of his subject is overwhelming and his enthusiasm self-evident. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and this tour is worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Another Intelligence Trail tour with Mr. X, whose knowledge of London's espionage history continues to amaze, on the risqué side of the great moments in espionage. From blackmail, honey traps, and more, we learned about the darker side of human nature,,told with skill and humor by Mr.X,,,,,give this tour a try, and be sure to ask about Boris!

Our group had high expectations of The Intelligence Trail tour and Mr. X (Brian Gray) did not disappoint us. It was a very memorable 2.5 hours from the rendezvous point to the finish, jam packed with sights, reference to important historical events and anecdotes of heroism and treachery – a definite highlight of our trip. Brian is extremely well informed about the British security intelligence establishment and Cold War espionage (and intriguingly, he would not disclose how he became so, despite interrogation). Brian’s interesting and lively commentary caused us to see otherwise familiar London sights in a new way, and involved some places that we would not have otherwise seen at all. All of us would recommend this tour. In addition, as the person who booked this excursion for our group, I found Brian to be very accommodating. He provided a full explanation of our options so that we could select the tour that was right for us. I would and probably will sign on for another tour with The Intelligence Trail, if only to have another go at interrogating Mr. X.

In January of this 2014 I took Agent Xs new tour, through the heart of Whitehall, with two other friends, and, despite the cold and rain,,it was very good! Agent X is truly a master of the subject, and presents the topic very well! I heartily recommend The Intelligence trail to all who enjoy a good spy story, very well told, even on a cold and rainy Sunday! Thank you Agent X.........Peter Crew

I booked this tour for my husband's birthday as a surprise and it did not disappoint. From the moment we met Mr X, we were whisked on a private tour of espionage and treachery in Central London. Mr X was an excellent tour guide, and willing to answer any questions we had about the secret services. The tour was crammed with interesting anecdotes and well-researched facts about the history of MI5, MI6 as well as fictional spies and their creators (Le Carre and Fleming). My husband had read quite a few books about the secret services and still learned lots on the two and a half hour tour. I would definitely recommend this as a unique alternative to visiting museums or galleries to learn about this fascinating history of London.
