I want to start by saying that Jen is a wonderful person, very welcoming, and knowledgeable of chocolate and london history whilst on the tour. We went to some wonderful places and did try a lot of new and fancy foods - Jen was very accommodating in combining a chocolate and ice cream tour for my birthday. We did have a shaky start as we were accidentally sent to the wrong starter location, easy tube ride back but would rather have not had the hassle especially as I was made to walk up the steps of Covent Garden station! The locations we visited were all great, but it would have been nice to not feel so rushed eating at them and nice to have felt as though we could stop to take pictures of london while walking between places - also an itinerary of where we were going could have been a sweet touch to have and momento to take away. My partners allergies were well accommodated for in most places as well. Whilst we did try lots of chocolate and were given a card of flavours chocolate can have, we weren’t specficallt walked through any tasting and so it felt more like an eating tour, which is absolutely fine but it was labelled as tasting and so the flavour card became redundant. We were advised on ways to use our different senses to begin with when eating chocolate but it could have been interesting to have learnt more from a chocolatier about the specific flavours that should be coming through etc. Overall it was a good experience, but with a few tweaks I think it could have been perfect. My favourite location was the custard ice cream and cookie café in Covent gardens.…

Hi Libby, Thanks for taking the time to write so much detailed feedback! I am SO sorry again for sending you to the wrong place. I can't believe I did. I loved spending the time with you both. Thanks for the kind words. 😊 I’ll be sure to check in with future groups about taking photos along the way. That’s a really good suggestion. If I ever do another combined chocolate and ice cream tour I’ll have a think about how to balance the number of places visited with how much time we spend in each place. We went to quite a few more locations than we’d normally visit in a three hour tour so it makes sense that it felt rushed. I’m really sorry about that. I was so keen for you to try all the good things! It’s also a really great point about tasting notes. It has always been a big part of our tours, especially as - like me - all of the guides are judges in various food competitions. When I reflect on our tour it definitely wasn’t covered the way it usually is. I appreciate you making me aware of it. As a “tasting” tour that part really should be a given that people are interested in, and therefore covered in detail! Thanks again for taking the time. I’ll definitely take this feedback on board! Warmest wishes, Jen x

I would happily do this tour again with friends and family. Got to try so much chocolate but also learn about the process and some quirky facts about London. Was a great birthday gift for me and would be for any other fans of chocolate!

Excellent ice-cream tour of Soho & Covent Garden with Scott and 'background customer service' from Jen. Six-or-so stop-offs, sampling multiple ice-creams; gelatos; sorbets and a custard. A personal favourite of mine was the lime & mint although surprisingly for me the chocolates were much smoother and delicious than I'd normally go for. Recommend !…

Thank you for writing a review - especially such a nice one. I really appreciate it. I never used to like chocolate ice cream (or gelato) until I tried the ones on the tour. So glad you liked them too. Hopefully see you again sometime!

Scott, our guide, was incredible! He put us at ease straight away and his knowledge and sense of humour were amazing. The ice creams we got to try were fabulous and if you get the chance, we highly recommend trying the Basil and Chilli ice cream! Give it a go, you'll be pleasantly surprised! (If you like the flavour of pesto pasta!)…
