Excellent experience with The English Bus and our charming guide, Colin! Colin is engaging, knowledgeable and attentive to details. We arrived at Stonehenge around 4:00 to fewer tourists and the effects of changing light as dusk approached. This company knows how to do it right!

Our tour with Andrew took us to Bath, Stonehenge, and a secret place in the English countryside. Riding in a minibus with 15 other people made the experience even more comfortable and friendly. Andrew is very knowledgeable and shared history and anecdotal information from the time we left London until we returned. He had the timing down pat throughout the... More

We did the Tour To bath, Stonehenge and a Secret Place and enjoyed every bit of it, mostly thanks to Johnny's fun commentary. We were in a small van with only 10 other people (a relatively small group). Apart from interesting facts, which were plenty, we were amused by a comedy central-class monologue with loads of english humour, impressions and... More

Pros: Small group, charming tour guide, individualized attention Cons: None This day tour to Stonehenge and Bath was one of the highlights of our trip to the UK. We try to avoid “bus tours” because we've seen people herded around like cattle from site to site with little time to explore. However, the English Bus Tour was a completely different... More

This tour was everything the reviews said and more. My family and I were looking forward to it. Andy was a great guide and his stories complemented the tour. I wish I could tell you about The Secret Place but I'm sworn to secrecy as well as everyone else. Stonehenge was on our bucket list and we were not dissatispointed.... More

Taking the English Bus to Stonehenge, Bath and a Secret Place was one of the highlights of our trip to London. The small size of the bus allowed us to go on country roads that a large tour bus couldn't have managed. We loved listening to Colin, who was funny and extremely knowledgeable, and I loved that he gave us... More

We took the Bath, Stonehenge and secret place tour and had the greatest time. Andy was our guide for the tour and there wasn't a single dull moment. He gave us the lowdown about the places visited with plenty of pop culture anecdotes making each place more memorable and interesting. His suggestions were also spot on. I will not forget... More

Meet at the bus stop on the street at the London Eye. No actual office there and a few of us were confused so this may help. Colin, our guide was outstanding! He was knowledgable, helpful and humorous, making our full day with him very enjoyable. He interacted with everyone on the bus and offered suggestions for activities and restaurants... More

Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
