I've been on three tours with The English Bus now and I'll keep coming back until I've tried them all! The company keeps exceeding my expectations and they've changed the way I do day tours. Now I always look out for companies that do small-groups instead of those conglomerate companies that pack people onto giant coaches like cattle and treat... More

We just did The English Bus’ tour to Bath, Stonehenge, and a Secret Place. It was fantastic, and way better than one of the larger bus tours! I’d highly recommend booking with The English Bus. Our tour guide, Colin, was absolutely wonderful, and made an excellent day even better. He was knowledgable and witty, and knew how to engage our... More

This tour was, without a doubt, my favorite adventure of my family's holiday in England! I got the feeling, even from looking at the website, that this is a small family company that really cares about their customers and are pretty transparent about that. I also got that feeling from Andrew, our guide. He was pretty frank about wanting to... More

We were a family of 4, dad a little concerned about the logistics of getting ourselves to and from Stonehenge on public transportation (despite all the great info from fellow travelers on TripAdvisor). We booked the English Bus on our first day in London -- figuring we could sleep on the bus if overtaken by jet lag. The only problem... More

Hi Ann, Thanks for your wonderful review - great to hear you had such a good time with us and we eliminated any possible stress you would have incurred attempting to see Bath and Stonehenge on public transport (possible, but tricky, time consuming as you have to go back on yourselves for a portion, and expensive as you need 3... I did a tour with 'the English bus' on 4th Nov. The tour was to Stonehenge, Bath and The Secret Place and I absolutely loved every bit of it. Andrew was an amazing guide and super helpful. I owe a special thanks to him for trying his level best to have me on the bus. I am glad. Archi

This tour way out did my expectations! First off, you travel in a luxury van that seats 12 - so right off it's a more intimate and engaging experience in a comfortable and upscale ride. Our guide, Colin, was absolutely hilarious and kept us entertained throughout the journey. I felt like we spent just enough time at each stop, which... More

My husband and I had such an amazing day! Our tour guide was Johny, who was very knowledgeable and funny. Our group was pretty small (~12 people) and the bus itself was comfortable. It was easy to find the bus at the pick up spot right by the London Eye. From there it was almost a 2 hour drive to... More

Andrew is humorous and held great pride in guiding. He is always pointing out things of interest as we passed by the sights. And the secret place is wow. Thanks andrew.

Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
