Built around 1627, Goodwin’s Court is an alleyway between St. Martin’s Lane and Bedfordbury. Walking along this charming court is like stepping back in time: the black doors have polished knockers and knobs . The Georgian bowed windows and three large, working gas lamps transport you back through London’s history. Goodwin’s Court was used in ''Harry Potter'' movie as the location for Knockturn Alley.
A plaque erected by the L.C.C. Survey states that the passage was previously known as Fishers Alley, with the current buildings erected in 1690. The area of London where Goodwin’s Court is located, Covent Garden, is full of little alleyways with small storefronts. It’s definitely worth a wander in a maze of side-streets, hidden gems amongst the otherwise busy thoroughfares.

Goodwin’s Court is located between St. Martin’s Lane and Bedfordbury. It leads through a low-roofed arch into a preserved piece of London's history. According to the nearby plaque, the well-preserved row of shops was built in 1690 and was previously known as Fishers Alley. This is a wonderful little walkway, which can easily be overlooked, that is reminiscent of the time described in a Sherlock Holmes story.

We saw online that this street resembles Harry Potters Knockturn alley, (as well as the street dating back to the 16 hundreds) as we were staying near by we thought we’d pay it a visit. I’d recommend visiting the street when it’s dark, to get the really Knockturn alley affect ✨✨✨💀💀💀💀

It is sooo pretty! It does look like a set for an antique movie or Harry Potter. It does worth the walk, it is short but very unique.
