In our experience, some brewers and distillers approach the concept of tours by taking their guests through a building that had once been used for production that is now full of old, retired equipment and talk about what used to happen there. Fuller's, to their great credit, doesn't do that - they take you through their brewery where you can see their beer being brewed and packaged. You will get an overview of the process and then walk through the brewery from beginning to end; they have kept some old equipment for display purposes as well. At the end there is a tasting which was great fun!

Many thanks must go out to our guide Sue, who was fun, informative, interesting, and a joy to be around. Fuller's has a great person in her!

You should book in advance; the brewery webpage has a link to do this. The tour takes almost two hours and goes up and down a number of stairs, so be prepared. There is also a Fuller's pub next door so you can continue sampling after the official tour is done.

Completely worth doing and highly recommended!

Had tourguide Amanda, and she was a very informative tour guide. Learnt lots about brewing and the history of Fuller's. Tour lasted about 80 minutes, which was good amount of time to see everything there, and was clearly a well rehearsed tour. Good selection of beer for the tastings (which was about 35 minutes), around 10 options from cask/keg and a couple from bottles on request too.

All in all, highly recommend, and would recommend going to the next door pub as well

We went on the brewery tour as a group of 16 for a 30th birthday, and cannot recommend it highly enough. Very in depth and detailed, this tour caters for beer lovers and casual sippers alike. Our tour guide, Dafyyd, was warm, funny and incredibly knowledgeable, and the staff at the front desk were equally as welcoming. We learned so much about the brewing process and the history of the building. A perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Wow what a tour! First time ive visited and certainly wasnt disappointed. Our tour guide Sue was excellent, took us through the older brewing equipment then onto the new and over to the packing and despatch areas.

The tasting session after was brilliant, 18 different beers to sample along with information about each one.

This tour and tasting experience absolutely exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide Lisa was absolutely brilliant, very friendly and obviously extremely passionate about beer. The brewery has lots of different interesting components and we learned about each of the different processes involved in making beer. The brewery is massive too so lots of great things to look at. The beer tasting was a highlight and took place in the brewery museum and bar… Lisa even let us look behind the scenes and take pictures behind the bar. I couldn’t recommend this enough!

Brilliant few hours at the Brewery.
The buildings and history are all lovely.
Symone was our tour guide and she was extremely knowledgeable.
Looking round some of the original old brewing vats and copper equipment was fascinating then going on to see the modern kit was good and much safer for the men.
Simone remembered all the questions and if she couldn’t answer there and then she rang her husband (an ex-master brewer) for the answer.
Obviously no brewery tour is complete without a tasting session and this was excellent with so much choice!
A great visit

Had a fab 2 hours at the Griffin Brewey, making use of a voucher from work for my 50th birthday last year. The tour was educational and interesting, our guide Colin was engaging, knowledgeable, humorous (at time!) and the beer tasting after was fantastic.

Plus you get 10% off in the shop afterwards where the bottled beers are already very competitively priced.

I brought this tour as a Christmas present for my husband, and invited a couple of friends along too.
A very educational tour, mixing the old ways with today's new technology, peppered with anecdotes leading to everyday sayings that we use now.
A large variety of tasters at the end of the tour, with a good mix of soft drinks as well.
Lisa was a brilliant guide, and obviously loved her job, and held a passion for the site,
Well stocked shop, not just the liquid variety, plenty to suit everyone.
Would happily visit again, and I don't drink beer or cider!

We enjoyed a great morning at the Fuller's Brewery. Jill was our guide and gave a fascinating insight into the brewing process and the history behind it. Jill was friendly and answered all of our questions during this informative and fun, two hour tour.
The tour ends with a beer tasting session, where you are able to compare different beers. We found this interesting, as some beers have only a subtle difference and give you the option to decide on your favourite. We also enjoyed being on the other side of the bar and being taught how to pull the perfect pint.
All staff that we met during our tour were friendly and polite and save time at the end to browse the gift shop!

Arrived early so had a pint in the shop / bar area. It was actually a lovely place to sit, drink and chat. Many ales on tap to choose from as expected.
Chuckled when the shop manageress took our glasses and told us the tour was two hours, and "looking at us she didn't think our bladders would hold out that long so use the facilities now!"
Can't remember guides name! He was either Steve or John. Sorry! He made the tour. Very knowledgeable about brewing and the Fullers pubs and really brought the tour alive.
Really enjoyed the 40mins at the end sampling various beers and bouncing questions to our host and generally having a natter.
Loved it. Really sense of history walking around these Victorian buildings that have been adapted for the 21st Century.
