The area

Address
Neighborhood: City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.

    Nice views and well-maintained grounds
Visited on a weekday during November 2023. No advance booking required. Breezed through security and onto the 15th floor, with practically no queues and no fuss. The grounds are well-maintained with good views over London. Although slightly obscured by taller buildings, the views are 360 degrees in an open air environment. Far less crowded in comparison to the nearby Sky Garden (which also requires advance booking). Would recommend.

    Very cool!
A lovely space with beautiful views. We enjoyed a bottle of wine in the restaurant. Bit pricey but worth it. Lovely atmosphere. Don’t quite understand why they want to keep your bottle of wine when you have bought it away from you! We like an eye on our drink and to fill up our glass when we want. They couldn’t keep up with us so we ended up with empty glasses so in the end we just asked for it on the table.

    Wonderful addition to the City
Visited twice in June 2023. Only found out it existed from a hidden gems TikTok, initially on a walk from Monument to Leadenhall Market then past the Lloyds Building to The Garden at 120. The second time straight from Fenchurch Street Station. No tickets/pre-booking are required, just rock up to a nondescript building with a large open area at the base and a wonderful animated ceiling. There is a security check and then you just queue to go up in the lift. There is a restaurant/cafe one floor down from the roof, but nothing on the actual roof though you can sit and eat whatever you bring I believe. The roof is decorated with flower beds, water features and seating. There are panoramic views all around, up and down the Thames, as well as the City/Gerkin. A wonderful/budget-friendly addition to any journey to the City.

    Great views of London
Spent a few days in London and came here to see the London skyline and the views were amazing as the sun was setting. Open top rooftop where you can see iconic buildings like the Shard, Tower Bridge, Walkie Talkie and The Gherkin to name a few. There was initially a queue and security check which I thought would take time but surprisingly everything was done quick and efficiently.

    Great Views at 120
Nice open top rooftop with amazing views of London landmarks. Nice calm place to chill with your friends or family when you visit London. Seeing London skyline at night and the green spaces illuminated had a nice ambience.

Great find for views of Tower Bridge
Great find- although there was a bit of a queue it moved pretty fast and was less than 10 minutes. So quiet and peaceful in the garden and a really lovely space. Got a lovely coffee there too. Views pretty good but definitely shadowed by the Sky Garden building. Worth a visit

    Amazing experience
This was simply great. There are higher building around, but open air atmosphere makes it really special. Short queue in the morning, free of charge and impressive experience make it worth visiting for sure.

Great city views from the tower
A really great opportunity to see the London skyline in 360 degrees. The queue wasn't too lengthy , 10 minutes at most. The security search was efficient and staff friendly. The garden was well maintained with gardeners at work when we were there. Being Feb the seasonality meant that little colour was apparent. The views were good throughout the viewing glass. It would be useful to have a NESW map and list what can be seen on the horizon. Thanks for the opportunity to view without any cost which is appreciated in a city which is expensive for all families

    Worth a visit.
We were going to go to Sky garden, but it required booking so went here instead. There was a queue upon arriving, but it moved quickly. Staff were very friendly. Once in the garden, it was very relaxing with lovely views. We ate at the restaurant - I forget it's name - which was lovely, but pricey.

    Amazing views
Another day well spent and it was FREE! Well worth visiting, experience for everyone. Couldn’t believe how quickly i got from bottom to top of this incredible building. Less than 5 minutes. I was lucky the queue was little, I suggest getting there early. Opens at 10 I got there about 10mins before opening time. You get searched at bottom, then take short lift ride to top floor (15) To discover amazing views of London, including Shard, Gerkin, Bridge and so much more! Toilets are on floor 14 if needed. Also restaurant and bar

The terrace offers a privileged view of many of London's most iconic attractions, from historic ones such as the Tower of London complex with Tower Bridge and St. Paul's Cathedral, to more modern ones with, above all, the Gherkin, the Walkie Talkie and the Shard by Renzo Piano. All while wandering around a beautiful and well-kept garden, with the possibility of sitting comfortably on one of the many benches available. It is located in the heart of the City, on the 15th floor of the One Fen Court building, and compared to other panoramic points in the city, which have a fee or require advance booking, it is free and accessible without problems after a security check. The waiting time before taking the lift, at 10 in the morning, was about fifteen minutes.

The Garden at 120
I strongly recommend visiting this wonderful place, because it’s amazing and really interesting. I’m a teacher and I took my students to the roof garden, where you can have a jaw dropping view and where you can have a lesson and spot the most important sites of London. Staff is not only friendly, but also very kind and they gave us a lot of information about the place. The visit is free, but you need to book in advance. It’s worth visiting. The students really appreciated that, they were overwhelmed.

TikTok recommended this place and it lives up to expectations. Visit when the rooftop opens to avoid waiting too long but don’t be disheartened by a long queue as this moves very quickly. After rigorous airport style security checks, you take a lift right up to the rooftop, staff are helpful with directions the entire way.
The views are really nice and some of my favourite in London as you can see most of the city around the 360 views. There are areas to sit and many plants which makes the area very pleasant to relax away from the chaos of the city.

Magnificent free viewpoint located on the 15th floor of 120 Fenchurch Street, just five minutes walk from another of the city's magnificent viewpoints, the Sky Garden. Access is free and it is not necessary to reserve in advance. The space is very pleasant, with a water channel, various floral species, climbing plants and wisteria, with magnificent views. On the 14th floor, which we can access by a staircase, we find a restaurant and W.C. Opening hours vary depending on the season: during the summer season (April 1 to September 30), it is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; during the winter season (from October 1 to March 31), Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If we have time, it is an unavoidable visit.

Wow what a brilliant experience. First, the man who operates the lift deserves a special mention. His enthusiasm was incredible as he wished us a good trip- a group of us (complete strangers) were talking about him as the lift went up. When we returned back down he was equally lovely.

The views from the top are really something- especially in my view, of Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.

It is beautifully maintained, there are lovely places to sit, free toilets, in short it is a wonderful addition to London.

Gorgeous roof-top garden with spectacular views of iconic city skyscrapers and the Thames. No charge to enter (unlike nearby Sky Garden), although you may have to queue for 20 minutes - however, it is worth it!
NOTE: It is NOT closed as this listing suggests.

In a silent and surreal City (it was just before sunset) so even more suggestive, the visit to this suspended garden, with an all-out view of London, was very pleasant! Very nice garden with the possibility to stop in the benches all around the vast terrace, there is also a discreet fountain that makes the quiet atmosphere even more. The line is short, so don't be discouraged, the staff, after the checks, just waits to fill the elevator with the right number of people and you get on quickly! Free and no Reservation is required.

Such GREAT views, beautifully tended gardens. Great alternative to Sky Garden, which is inside, perhaps not really a "garden", and can get really crowded. Free to go up, just go through the airport-style security screening. Great photo opportunities and a wonderful way to take in the City of London from above. There is a restaurant (looked dark, chose not to enter but likely reservations required), a separate small cafe, and there are toilets available. Would go again.

As the Sky Garden as fully booked and the afternoon weather was looking promising, we decided to try this open air viewing platform. So glad we did. We waited for about 5 minutes in a queue before being called through an airport style security check. The guards, while very professional, were all friendly. We then entered a lift to the 15th floor and emerged onto the beautiful glass walled terrace. As well as clear views of The Gherkin, Shard and Walkie Talkie, you could also see the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and St Paul's Cathedral. The terrace itself is a beautiful, calm oasis and at the time of our visit, was dripping with scented white and lilac wisteria. I just can't believe it's free to visit in this expensive city - it's a must see.

The roof garden offers good views across the city in all directions. We enjoyed walking around a trying to spot the various landmarks across the city. This a lovely quite place in a busy city to escape for a while. It is also free to go up to the roof top which is an added bonus!
