Soho and Carnaby Street music tour

Our tour guide Alan Howell was excellent. He was so enthusiastic about the music, the musicians and especially the buildings that made the whole tour so enjoyable. Over two hours of information that was all completely new to me and my wife. I would certainly recommend the tour if you like 60’s music and want to go down memory lane, or even Carnaby Street and relive the moment.

The tour with Jack was absolutely fabulous! He knows so much about history, long time ago and recent, and it's a real pleasure to listen to his most amusing and funny way to tell it. Also his tips were most appreciated. Can only recommend it.

music history tour Soho

Al! What a legend! so lovely and knowledgable. I (21) went with my Dad (57) and both had an amazing time, even for native Londoners we learnt so much. Honestly, had the best time and everyone was hanging onto every last one of Alan's words - whether his own personal stories or history about the music scene. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Virtual Experience

I'm from Denver, CO USA and during these trying times, we hired True London Tours to do a virtual happy hour called, "Drinking with the Brits" and it was one of the best things our company has ever done. Glenn was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and funny. He had our entire Sales Team laughing and enjoying each other's company. I would highly recommend reaching to these guys if you're looking for a way to enhance your company culture and dip your toes on the other side of the pond. Thanks again!!

Musical History Tour of Soho and Carnaby

We got booked on a music tour of SOHO and Carnaby, we met our guide Al who was absolutely brilliant! We were introduced to some of the pubs / clubs where he spoke about some of the great music legends who had played there, along with some of the history of that pub / club. Al also pointed out some of the new buildings and what iconic recording studios or clubs use to be there, which we found fascinating.

We learned little nuggets of information on the history of Soho, which included fashion and important historical dates that we found fascinating. Al has a lot of energy, he’s engaging, passionate and he very clued up on the music history of Soho and Carnaby, he’s the perfect guide. Al enjoyed it so much, he went over the allocated time slot (which we happily enjoyed)! A big thanks to Al for a fun and entertaining walk around Soho and Carnaby.

Glenn is the man for A true London experience! If you want a real British adventure from a local who knows the best hidden gems, Glenn is your guy. Glenn gave us a private customized tour that met our desires for an ambitious London Itinerary. Glenn knows the best pubs in town, the best spot for fish and chips, and can swiftly navigate your group throughout London while making sure to see everything along the way. I won't go back without having Glenn!

Excellent, fascinating and unforgettable

I highly recommend Experience Local Tours. Glenn is a superb tour guide and a charming person, with all kinds of interesting knowledge about the areas he takes you to. You'd be crazy not to use this company. He tailors to your interests and knows how to get you all over London in quick time, thanks to his uncanny knowledge about the locale--and short cuts! He even kindly made a reservation for us for dinner at one of his local favorite pubs. Talk about the extra mile. :)

Beer drinking with the Brits

Thanks to Linton I had really great evening. He was a perfect host and made us laugh a lot. Now I am ready to explore British pubs and bars when the situation will be more favourable. I would never thought there is so many interesting facts about beer and beer drinking. Thank you again, Linton.

Our tour guide Al was great!

We had the best time with Al as our guide!! He was informative, friendly and flexible. He made it fun despite the weather. The ending pub lunch at The Red Lion was delicious. I will highly recommend London Urban Adventures.

custom tailored tour

I just came back from London a few hrs ago. I had only 3 days in London and I was so glad I chose East End tour since it gave me the inside look of the London .

The Tour was with Carol, and it was only me and my husband, so couldn't be more perfect. I think that is the greatest thing about Urban adventures, - you get a small size tour group so you are not stuck with 30 turists with different interests and everyone wants to see - do something else...and than you loose time ...
this was even better since the tour only for 2 of us and Carol was great in answerig all our questions, (and we had a lot) about London, londoners, way of living, cost of living, cost of properties etc...so after the tour we had a better idea about a typical life in London.

On the plane we saw a documentary about Banksy, and I stronlgy recomend at least google-ing Banksy and londong grafiti....before you take This particular tour since it is going to be more familiar and much more interesting when you recognize it.

We saw jamie Olivers restaurant and for me that is the TREAT .
also, mash and pie was delicious experience and very yummy :) (the price was included with the tour)
we saw circus school, went to one galery and saw whole bunch of caffes and shops, and the city and ...oh my god...such a diversity of things you see on this tour...
Carol also gave us the tips what to do after the tour was over (it lasted aproximately 4 and half hrs) so she helped us use our time wisely.
she was very knowledgeable, she had photos of different graffiti to show us (the ones that were taken out from the streets) and she was super pleasant and just very very nice !

The only thing we felt we needed was - a map or a piece of paper with all the places that we saw written down, because you see so much & walk with her around and around and we kind of lost a direction where we were,:) which really doesnt matter since you have someone taking you places, ....but I wanted to check afterwards and see where we went.....
anyway....I hope this review helps you and I would surely use this agency again if I am at any other city. I am not a big fan of guided tours so this tour was really smashing and totally not conventional ! it was very upbeat, private and fun!
