A definite highlight of our trip to London. We went on three separate walks - the Historical London tour, Art Deco London tour and a bespoke tour designed especially for us and our particular line of work. Our tour guide, Ike, was exactly the type of tour guide you hope for when travelling. He is fun, convivial and incredibly knowledgeable... More

Loved the way in which Ike brought the South Bank to life in an approachable and humorous way. I would thoroughly recommend these walks and I'm going to go on and complete a few more. Thanks Ike!

This tour helped us understand a great deal about the history of London, all hidden in plain site through its architecture. We discovered hidden back alleys and secrets about how the city came together which we would never have found on our own. Our guide was highly knowledgeable, friendly, and interesting. Highly recommended.

we participated in this walk as a professional CPD event - it was informative and a great find. Ike was professional, friendly and well informed. We marvelled at the wonderful building hidden in the alleys and back streets of London. we would recommend it to other architects and anyoen who wants to see another side of London.

Some friends and I did the London Squares walk last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ike was very interesting and informative and delivered his insights enthusiastically and in a non stuffy manner. We will certainly be doing more walks with him and highly recommend him.

Both my guest and I and I had a very good time and learned a lot on the Regents Park tour. It was very interesting and easy to follow; even for two non native English speakers and one who does not know very much about architecture. The tour inspired us to visit the Greek part of the British museum the... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the Soho option of the London Architectural walks. The quality and range of information was excellent and completely held our interest for the 2 hours. We plan to try some of their other options when next in London.

A healthy walk, an opportunity to look up and around you to appreciate the buildings of London and a surprising insight into the history of the city. The guide for our walk in Mayfair was friendly, very engaging and he shared his knowledge and enthusiasm in a way that was accessible to everyone in the group. These walks would be... More

We really enjoyed the political architecture walk conducted by Ike, who was extremely well informed and able to answer almost all of our questions. The one thing he couldn't answer during the walk, he researched and e-mailed me afterwards. This was an extremely good value personal tour for my husband and I, telling us things that we did not know... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
