All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London. The Ghost Bus Tours’ classic Routemaster has been redesigned to give passengers London’s first ‘Fright Bus’ service. On-board actors and technical trickery combine to create the scariest tour in town. A creepy conductor provides the commentary for this sinister sightseeing show, revealing haunted places, unmarked burial grounds and the skeletons in the capital’s cupboard.

I see some saying it was terrible. Looks like it depends how good the actors are doing the tour you are on. We had a young lady conductor who was brilliant and a big Yorkshire guy playing Mr Hinge who was also excellent. We enjoyed it a lot, Top marks.

Toured 18.15 on Friday 30th October Overall, the tour was fun and very interesting. I'd not really describe it as scary though. The two actors were great, involving the passengers well, and the main Scottish one ("Vinnie Price") was particularly funny (his reaction to one young girl's "Dun dun duuuun" was priceless) and he clearly knew his stuff. Although I... More

A present from my kids, it was an enjoyable trip round London in a lovely old double decker bus. The two actors were good and made the trip enjoyable. Not to be taken seriously, it's a good hour of fun, driving round London which I would recommend for the price.

It was a bit cheesy and not that funny. The two actors on board tried their best but overall it just was not very ghostly, gripping or entertaining.

We booked this as part of a fun day out in London. The female bus conductor, who had obviously done this loads of times before, made this trip hilarious. A great mix of fact and fun, the narrative was funny and faultless. Great as a factual tour as well as a bit of fun. Would go again.

Firstly the chaotic 'booking in' system on the pavement by the bus was very unorganised, surely there must be a better system to adopt. Once onboard the amateur dramatics began, was hoping that it would be more as advertised,a theatrical comedy horror tour, but it turned out to be a very basic evening trip round some of the sights of London with some... I took my 13 year old daughter on this and have to say it was the highlight of our short stay in London (which we loved). The actors onboard were hilarious, we never stopped laughing for an hour and half. There were quite a few 'jumpy' moments too, so be prepared to scream. Would recommend this to anyone that likes... This experience is a comedy bus tour with a plot, sound effects, props and so on. It's not a serious educational or historical kind of thing. It's also a very silly, cheesy, tongue in cheek kind of humour. Knowing that, it was great. The bus is black with little Victorian lamps and red velvet curtains. Very atmospheric. Without giving too... More

We were given this trip by a relative and went not sure we would enjoy it. We did! The main actor on board knew his script and the salient points at each site we passed. The tour is a combination of history embellished with scary sounds and actions from the actors on board. We found other people's reactions funny too.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
