Description:

All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London....

All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London. The Ghost Bus Tours’ classic Routemaster has been redesigned to give passengers London’s first ‘Fright Bus’ service. On-board actors and technical trickery combine to create the scariest tour in town. A creepy conductor provides the commentary for this sinister sightseeing show, revealing haunted places, unmarked burial grounds and the skeletons in the capital’s cupboard.

Spooky sightseeing tour through London at night. You travel in a necrobus while they tell you about the ghosts which are still around.. Nicely done and very scary ;)

Booked for friends visiting from out of town and wasn't disappointed. The actors on the bus are great and very funny, everyone enjoyed even the ones that got a little scared :) Nice was to see the city for tourists as London always looks amazing at night time along the river. Pre-booking can save you money and look for group... More

More funny than scary! A little more frightful would have added to the fun! A lot to improve on but good enough though. Slightly overpriced i thought. £21 per person. Felt about £10 worth to me!

We arrived at the pick up point to be met by a large black bus. The little touches had all been thought of and it looked amazing. After being ushered on board we took our seats. The conductor interacted with both the teenagers and the younger children in our party really well. No one was left out. The tour began... More

I've done this four times with friends & family. It's a huge laugh, and a fairly decent city tour at the same time. I'll be back, for sure. Just like the ghosts haunting the old city... 👻

I have just experienced this tour with three family members, all adult. It was pouring with rain and we expected the bus to be empty but it was almost full.We were expecting it to be hammy - and it was - but it WAS entertaining too. There were lots of bits of information and areas of London that most people... More

Started off well with some interesting grisly history about London but then the health inspector actress turned up and ruined the whole tour. It just interrupted everything and was irritating, not funny and stupid. Also some of the things told were outright lies in regards to serial killers (I know my serial killers) Would have appreciate a more serious approach... More

I went on a date to do this and it was the best choice. I knew it wasn't going to be hugely in depth historical tour as it covered too much of London to ever go into details but it takes you around little parts of London that most people (citizens and tourists) will totally overlook. The bus conductor was... More

Sadly, there were only six of us on the bus the night we toured... the actors and team obviously prepare and rehearse for a much larger crowd. TV screens, amplified voices, ghost projections all designed for a full bus of 60 or so fell a little flat with such a small crowd, although two of our seatmates found everything quite... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
