Description:

All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London....

All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London. The Ghost Bus Tours’ classic Routemaster has been redesigned to give passengers London’s first ‘Fright Bus’ service. On-board actors and technical trickery combine to create the scariest tour in town. A creepy conductor provides the commentary for this sinister sightseeing show, revealing haunted places, unmarked burial grounds and the skeletons in the capital’s cupboard.

I was fortunate enough to be offered tickets to the Ghost bus tours we took the 9pm slot from Northumberland avenue just around the corner from Trafalgar square wasn't really sure what to expect but joined the queue and after a short while this beautiful old black Route master bus arrived we were led onto the bus by the conductor... Would have been an interesting trip if it had focused on the history and not the silliness of the so called 'health & safety' advisor who seemed to have no bearing on the tour, just going up and down the bus poking and prodding at things. We had lost interest by half way and when everyone was asked to get... More

The Ghost Bus tours made for a really fun evening! They drive around and tell you some interesting things about some of London's haunted sites whilst having their own storyline going on within the bus. The woman conducting was really funny and altogether it was a good evening out! Would definitely recommend.

This was not a planned event but was spontaniously taken on our way back to the tube, they had two seats remaining and even waited for us to return back from a toilet stop at a local pub before setting off. This was probably the best decision of our stay as we both loved it, the humour cattered for both... More

As long as you are not expecting some Shakespearean experience and that it is all a bit naff, then you will have a brilliant time. I went with 2 friends from work and we had an absolute hooley on the tour. The actress was funny and freaky, the bus conductor/narrator was really funny, had a sharp sense of humour and... More

have been on this trip before will doubtless go again. This is such good fun and well worth the price - it is a true tour de force from the 'conductor/guide - you really should give it a try

I went with a group of 6 and we all really enjoyed this! It is much more about fun than information in my opinion but you do still learn a bit of history and "ghostly" stories. Quite funny, a bit spooky, and all around great family fun!

Book the ghost bus if your open minded and have a good sense of humour. You won't learn a lot of facts about the darker side of londons history but you will jump out your skin aboard the ghost bus! Hilarious acting, good crack and a fun alternative bus tour by night! Boo!

I took this tour with my family and we had a good time. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the actors were amazing! You can see how much effort they put into making this Ghost Bus ride entertaining! The only small negative note is that the windows downstairs are a little bit small (old vintage bus) and we... Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
