Description:

All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London....

All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London. The Ghost Bus Tours’ classic Routemaster has been redesigned to give passengers London’s first ‘Fright Bus’ service. On-board actors and technical trickery combine to create the scariest tour in town. A creepy conductor provides the commentary for this sinister sightseeing show, revealing haunted places, unmarked burial grounds and the skeletons in the capital’s cupboard.

We did the ghost bus trip last November and at six pm on a Sunday evening in cold misty weather the bus looked suitably eerie - our conductor for the trip was one "Dick Stroker" and he narrated the tour with enthusiasm, innuendo (clean as families were aboard) and lots of ad-libbing on and off the bus to us and... Went onto the tour bus yesterday, 30 January 2016, and it's 'ok'. Went on this bus a year ago and it was fantastic but this time round it was very different. Went with my family for my mums birthday and she has a slight issue with her leg which affects her walking. Not thinking it will be a problem I... More

I found this tour in my great Western railway 2 for 1 book so decided to do it on our first evening. Luckily we booked when we did as it got rather busy and ended up as a full bus. We were dissapointed we couldn't sit at the front due to 2 seperate men taking up both sides of the... More

Beautiful view of the capital in the evening. Great interaction on tour. Sightseeing. Guide telling ghost stories. A good idea with a group of four to do something different an evening if living in London. Interesting and fun for tourists. Also suitable for families and couples too.

Took my daughter on the tour and to be honest we were not sure what to expect but it was hilarious - the conductor was fantastic - he had his work cut out as there were some rowdy guests on there but this didn't detract from the fun - the conductor knew his stuff and the 'surprise health & safety... This is a waste of money !! So amateur it's unreal on a bus with the odd insight into "scary" stuff of London, you will feel ripped off by this , they even had the audacity to want a tip

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
