Happiness and Ciu Ciu at Bottle Apostle shop! 🤣
Nov 2020 • Solo
In Bottle Apostle I have found a fantastic selection of wine from all over the world! Iris was very helpful and professional with 2 suggestions of wine one from Portugal and one from South Africa simply delicious. I have also found and bought one of the best Italian white wine from Abruzzo region called “Ciu Ciu”. Thanks Iris I will definitely be back to buy more happiness! Ciao Alessia

this was the Bottle Apostle branch in Clapham
Oct 2018
really disappointing. there is a mass of wine there; pretty unimaginatively displayed and much at quite a height
I bought two bottles of burgundy which were in the £20 pb range, were lauded by the staff , but were very thin and uninspiring. Rank with big super market £ 8.99s. Certainly better value to be found elsewhere.

Sales clerk was super helpful picking local craft beer
Jun 2017 • Family
I love craft beer in the US. Really big beers. So I wanted to check out the craft scene in London and couldn't find anything at first. Then I got to this place and the super helpful lady behind the counter picked out a half dozen gems for me to try. Only one was 'meh', four more were good to very good. But I loved the Acid Jam by Siren Craft Brew. I'd never had an imperial sour before and I will definitely be looking for more!

This place offers the best selection of the wines , spirits and beverages under one roof. He place is so popular hat mstill people have wait in to be helped by the staff to find the right choice . A personalized service ,helpful personnel with beaming smile on their faces will help you select the right wines ,beers for you. Location on the high street Primrose hill is unmissable . A visit is worth the time to find the right kind of wine and yet to be discovered spirits for you . They do bulk supply to the home too . Very very useful and helpful experience .

Craft beers that nobody knows
May 2016
Beautiful store with a large list of less-known craft beers. You can find all the family beers from Beavertown and much more. The price is not cheap I must say, but not very much as other places with very local craft beers.

Worst Wine experience ever compounded by terrible customer service!!! Stay Away!!!
Jul 2015 • Couples
Terrible customer service. If there is something wrong with your wine, don't expect the staff will do anything about it.

Two weeks ago I bought a bottle of white wine. I wanted something on the adventurous side. After opening it at home it tasted and smelled of apple vinegar: not a pleasant surprise in a wine. I took the bottle back just to hear that this is normal in this type of wine (!) when in the reality the wine was absolutely non drinkable. No one offered to exchange the wine or refund the money. It turned out I just spent 26 pounds for something which would cost 2 pounds in Tesco and definitely wouldn't even stand in the wine section..

Super disappointed.

Bottle Apostle is a beautiful store but they lack any idea of Customer focus.

They are short sighted and disgustingly ignorant of Customer satisfaction. Even if you are a loyal Customer with them the moment there is a complaint they will treat you like you walked into the store for the first time.

I am a frequent in other large and small UK wine retailers and this is the first time I have been in a situation in which a store pretending to be an upscale retailer would refuse to replace or refund an obviously flawed wine which is highly recommended just a few hours earlier.

No morals or sense or responsibility for the wines they carry whatsoever.

Stay well away and opt for Odd Bins, Majestic Wines, Naked Wines or Wines Naturally where such a situation would be unthinkable.

Hope this review is useful and ensures you will not make the same mistake given the huge choice of other much higher quality retailers which will take full responsibility for the wines they sell and won't bale on you.

Note: this review refers to the Clapham branch which unfortunately does not have it's own Trip Adviser site but is part of the company and hence should maintain the same standards.

Big mark up

I bought a bottle of El Mago 2012 for £13.50, which is a lot more than I would usually spend. I was very underwhelmed. It is not special. Having investigated the wine I found out the average price is £7.50. Overpriced or what! I normally go to Majestic where, for £13.50, I am guaranteed an excellent wine.

Passing by after enjoying fish and chips at the Fish Shop. Looking through the glass it looked like the kind of place You would put trousers in to enter, but since I was at the park I couldn't do that. Started browsing through their extensive wines on show and found out what a great quality wine list they have. I decided to choose one wine that I've already tried in the past. The price was £30 and one of the staff recommended a very similar wine for £6 pounds less. At my arrival at home I decided to open the bottle of wine and for my and my wife surprise this bottle if not better was at least as good as the one I chose before which made me think that the staff want to teach and train people in what good wines are and they are not just looking at selling the most expensive wines. It's gonna be a very regular place to go shopping for wine.
