Last time I visited London (Sept., 2018), I went on the East End Tour. This was the second time I took a tour with them. The first was in 2016. It was great! Our guide, Paul, an actor by training, was entertaining and informed. His narrative at each of the many stops was fact-filled and often humorous. To add to the total fun experience, at the stop by the Globe Theatre, Peter performed a brief soliloquy from Macbeth - an impressive performance. All in all, this 4-hour excursion was the highlight of my London trip - combining sight seeing, exercise, and entertainment. Well done!!

Fabulous bike tour of the East end with Matthew, a real local enthusiast with fantastic knowledge and stories. Luckily so cold that it put everyone else off and we had a personal tour....we found lots of surprising places that we will definitely go back to and surprise our friends with! Even if you are only spending one day in London this is a must!

Our third bike tour with Mathew which shows that we're very happy with it. For visitors that already know the typical sights of town and want to broaden their perspective the East End Tour is a great and entertaining way to do so. In a speed even unexperienced cyclists can easily follow Mathew lead us to many interesting but less known attractions. The bikes are in good condition and allow a comfortable ride. We did the tour with 7 people between 12 and 52 years and we all enjoyed it very much. What I especially like is the very personal way Mathew guides this tour. On many city tours you feel that the guide is transporting information he learned before to do a good job what is okay. With Mathew you can go beyond this and discuss much more since he is a dedicated Londoner. For example did we stop at the river and somehow came to talk about housing problems, low quality buildings and future perspectives. After that we were about to proceed the tour and suddenly realized that we had not talked about the reason we stopped there, the river, treasure hunters searching the river banks and new tendencies to use the Thames as traffic way to reduce traffic on the streets. All in all highly diverting hours and very refreshing as a change to all the walking and tube riding.

This was the highlight of our trip to London, and we had a most wonderful trip! Mathew was a smart, charming and witty guide. Is sense of history and the current moment swirled together into a complex and important look at the city of London. We felt safe, attended to and totally enthralled in his storytelling.

We are regulars to London and all of us absolutely love it ! Theatre, eating, shopping and the all the usual attractions + national trust properties etc and miles and miles of walking are a norm. ....yesterday (July 2017) we went on a cycle tour with Matthew and it was delightful ! Riding through the City of Westminister and the City of London on the back lane we never knew existed was brilliant. The back streets were so quite you would have not imagined you were in Central London. Both our teenage children enjoyed the tour and Matthews easy manner and his local knowledge was enlightening and has added a few streets and places to our repertoire.
