You wouldnt rush here but it's ok for a pint or to watch sport. Was busy on a Saturday afternoon as hockey teams in there. Roughly £5 a pint.

Well, was supposed to be with friends...

I got to this place early and ordered a drink while I waited for my four friends...I decided to move on and meet them elsewhere after the landlady repeatedly stared at me. OK, I admit it is a tad odd for a woman to be alone in a pub full of blokes on a Saturday night but repeatedly giving me the once over as if I'm up to some kind of no good is not polite.

Our home away from home
Nov 2018 • Friends
It was a wet and windy Sunday, the cold outside forcing us to the door of the pub after doing battle at Kennington park hockey pitches. We were greeted by the delightful Jim and Fernando! A smile on their face said, I can cure your cramp with tequila and we were away! Very family friendly, I would recommend to friends and can say it provides an all round superb service. I would definitely provide repeat business, weekly. Our home from home..

No frills pub
Jul 2018 • Friends
We called in for a drink on a recent visit to the Oval cricket ground, this pub is a no frills establishment typical of pubs near sporting venues. We thoroughly enjoyed an hour here. Obviously full of fellow cricket fans en route to the match. Clean , good service, reasonable selection of beers. All good.

Terrible Pub
Jul 2018 • Friends
Came here tonight after the cricket and paid £44 for 3 double gins and 1 pint of ale - when asked why was given attitude from the land lady who explained they charge gins as singles so each was £5.50 and tonic was £2.40... extortionate price before the cricket wasn't the same - its cheaper in the shard.

Proper pub near Kia Oval
May 2018 • Friends
I don't know how long they have run this lovely puv but its as good as it was all those years ago. Staff are so freindly and efficient and the Real Ales are spot on. Always clean and popular before during and after cricket at The Kia Oval which is less than 5 minutes away.
