With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.

Unused gothic monstrosity
Jan 2020
Whenever I come to the Royal Free hospital I see this ghastly building standing unused by the traffic lights. It hasn't been used for years and just adds a forbidding presence to the area.I wish they would knock down and build something of use to the community.

A jewel of a church
Sep 2019 • Family
This church, while not very large, is beautifully decorated and very welcoming, with regular concerts and tea time performances. It is an outstanding example of a high Anglican parish church.

St. Stephens Church

Re-visted this lovely church that our daughter was married in 25 years ago. This time we actually were able to appreciate the church and it's interesting history. There are some wonderful leaflets available in the church which are really informative and bring the church to light beautifully. Particularly interesting was the history of the Dunkeld lectern. On certain days the church is open for tea and coffee and cake. You can also book tours. Every effort is made to welcome you into the church which is well worth a visit.

Much larger than it appears

It’s on the wrong location on Maps and the other end of the street. Lovely old church that is much larger than it appears- gardens need work!

Nice church good location.

This is a nice church impressive decoration though not to my taste. It is extremely dark inside due to there not being enough lighting and I imagine if you were trying to read a bible or hymn book it would be pretty difficult.Good location and easy to find though...
