The area
Address
Neighborhood: Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
How to get there
  • Blackfriars • 6 min walk
  • Southwark • 7 min walk

Emila is the best
May 2021 • Solo
This was the best facial I have ever had. I have never been so relaxed and my therapist Emila was unbelievable. I have been lucky enough to have spa treatments all over the world but this place was just what the doctor ordered after a long lockdown. The steam rooms etc were not open yet because of the pandemic.

Relaxed & completely recharged
Dec 2019
Had a 50min message where I was given the oil mixture that was used in the treatment to take home. Wish I could remember the masseuse she concentrated on the areas I requested, was attentive to how much pressure I wanted. The relaxation room was perfect to take a nap in after & I was even given a duvet to use, the ambiance is perfect for winding down and relaxing in.

Will definitely come back
Oct 2019 • Friends
I’m not new to spas, but I was still pleasantly surprised by the Agua offering - their relaxation room was one of the highlights. This spa is genuine luxury and yet very good value for money (compared to Corinthia for example). Beautiful presentation and very attentive staff, and will choose this spa over others in London time and time again. Lovely Malin and Goetz products and set in the context of a gorgeous hotel.

Wonderful Massages
Aug 2019 • Couples
My husband and I booked 80 minute massages on our last day in London and they were great!
The massage rooms we’re very clean and comfortable; the women’s locker room had everything that I needed-steam room plus amazing rain shower head showers along with wonderful smelling hair and body products.

Only used the steam room and shower
Sep 2018
I popped down there at the end of a long day to use the complimentary steam room. It was LOVELY. Showered and used the accessories to dry my hair, put on lotion etc. I did not get to use any of their services. I arrived just before closing late night.

A disappointing gift for my girlfriend
Nov 2018 • Solo
A real disappointment from A to Z.
I called as I wanted to book a treatment for my other half after seeing all positive reviews. The person I spoke with on the phone was so unhelpful and rude that I nearly hung up but stayed calm and book a treatment.
My girlfriend told me that on arrival at hotel the receptionist team from Mondrian was really helpful, but .....
As soon as she arrived at the spa. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful ( looks like it’s something recurrent with this place), then changing room was dirty( dirty robes and towels everywhere and most of lockers were empty). Anyway, the treatment was good but definitely not worth the price. After the treatment the masseuse show my other half the lounge. It definitely looks amazing. But nothing apart from a steam room in the changing room.
I love how some place charge a fortune cause they are a four or five stars hotel.
Anyway don’t do the same mistake as I did by paying a ridiculous price for this place.

My brother booked the spa as a treat for my birthday and it was perfect. The facilities are beautiful and staff are really friendly. I had an 80min facial treatment which was absolute bliss. I can't wait to return for further treatments - can't recommend highly enough!

An ethereal escape
Mar 2018 • Solo
If you can afford it, Agua Bathhouse and Spa at Modrian on the South Bank is a worthwhile break from the non-stop city outside its walls. The reception, gently curving floors, pearl white furnishings and soft-spoken staff make sure this is a true treat for those who descend that lift. I had the hot oil envelopment treatment with Karina, who taught me that there is genuine mastery in massages - she was incredible. The lounge area is lovely and calming, and there was nice peppermint tea while I relaxed. Would recommend this treatment to anyone looking to silken up their skin and unknot those uptight muscles.

Spacious, serene and relaxing
Mar 2018 • Solo
This hotel spa is so much more modern and spacious than the usual pokey, grim hotel spas I've seen in London. Everything was modern, from checking in via an iPad, to the clean, bright changing rooms and relaxation area. Even though I had only booked a treatment, rather than a full spa day, I felt very welcome to use the steam room facilities and the relaxation area for as long as I wanted. My therapist was great and I had a custom massage. I would definitely go again.
