We didnt go on a boat trip but did enjoy drinks at the bar on the boats. A bit expensive at £5 a pint an £4.50 for vodka/lemonade but worth it on this day a it was pretty hot. The bloke who served us was polite and friendly and we would visit again.

We took an enjoyable boat tour of the Olympic Park accompanied by an enthusiastic and informative guide. He explained how the site had been redeveloped for the Olympics and had some astonishing pictures of the waste tip that the park had been before regeneration. He explained how the park was financed and how it will be funded going forward. He also pointed out some of the wildlife living on the riverbank. We passed the main sports stadiums and our guide had a wealth of knowledge of Olympic facts and figures and welcomed questions. It’s a different and fun way to see the Olympic Park. The boat tour of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park lasts 45 minutes and costs £9 per adult. There’s no need to book in advance, just turn up on the day. Boats leave from the Stratford Waterfront Pontoon opposite the London Stadium. Look for the sign advertising the times of the tours.
