Urban green infrastructure providing habitats for wildlife and improving the mental health and wellbeing of the local population
May 2020 • Solo
This city park makes the neighbourhood a more attractive place to live and work. The park contributes to the mental health and wellbeing of the urban population as enjoying nature can relieve stress and improve mood.

The green infrastructure provides a range of habitats for birds, insects, butterflies, squirrels and foxes. Bedding displays are a feature of the park as well as shrub borders, hedges and meadow areas.

Dating back to 1899 it has retained many of its original features including the layout of paths, park buildings, ornamental fountain and the cast iron boundary railings and entrance. The mature plane trees provide a relaxing place to sit and read.

Beautiful on a sunny day for a run
Apr 2017 • Friends
This is a small little park – not too far away from the London Olympic Stadium- in East London. I was here with a few of my friends on a sunny April afternoon. We had a few drinks here and just relaxed. Although not the most scenic, it is well maintained and I decided to come back later for a run. Definitely a wise decision. The park is well suited for a good early evening run.
